I own another Smatree case and found it to be very thoughtfully designed with high quality materials so when I saw that they made a case for the New 3DS XL, I didn't hesitate to order it. The case I was using for my New 3DS XL was a little snug with the shell case I used on my device and only had enough room for the New 3DS XL and maybe a cable. The case is very nice and spacious. The materials used seem high quality and durable and it is made very well from stitching to the zipper. The zipper was a little sticky half way through but it is not bad and does not get stuck. The case offers enough room for the New 3DS XL to sit comfortably with Tomee XL Crystal case attached. It also has a flap that can hold 8 3DS very snuggly(maybe a little too much) and seems to keep the system more in place in the case instead of loosely sit. On the top portion in a zip pouch which has enough room for a charging cable, a thin wall wort, a wipe cloth, some extra styluses, and a game or two. It basically has enough room for all your 3DS needs. It also includes a loose sleeve with an elastic pocket that is meant to hold onto your 3DS in the case. The fit is a bit tight but it did fit with the Tomee Crystal case and might offer a little more protection in the case. I don't really see the necessity of this piece and will likely use the case without it. The outside of the case is a soft rubbery feeling material that doesn't pick up dust or hold fingerprints. It has a raised Smatree "S" symbol on it which looks very nice and simplistic. There are two high quality zippers with the Smatree branding and a loop with a carabiner attached matching the black with red accent color scheme. The shell case is appropriately and satisfyingly rigid and looks to provide good protection in bags or holding it loose. If you're looking for a case to carry all your 3DS XL gear, then I believe this to be the one you should get. A lot of companies make these shell cases with little thought or care. Smatree does not cut corners and puts themselves entirely into making a high quality and fully functional case. The price is about twice as much as the cheaper ones on Amazon at ~$21 but you get far more than double the quality and value in my opinion. It seems ridiculous to be impressed with a case but this case is impressive and easy to recommend. ... show more

One of if not the most well thought out case, I have clinical adhd and it was difficult to find a case that will fit the Japanese new 3ds regular size model and the sleeve fits and covers the device completely before even being in the case, you can also have your 3ds charging with the case closed and two zippers together so no dust will even get on your device while charging, the quality is legitimately there for this case and has got to be one of the best options out there rn especially if you have a regular model new 3ds, as there aren’t many cases for that model out there only mainly being released in japan, great product, you genuinely won’t regret it, a little bulky but very protective and well thought out ... show more

Very nice case and appears very sturdy. Bought this to fit an older model Nintendo DSi that my grandson, who is now 20, used to play with when he was much younger. Giving it and some of the accessories to him as an extra little gift for Christmas. We used to have a case very similar. Goodness knows what happened to it. I hope it brings a smile to his face. THIS CASE FITS THE ANALOGUE POCKET LIKE A CHAMP!! THE SLEVE THAT COMES WITH IT FITS IT PERFECTLY! IT DOES NOT SLIDE OR MOVE AROUND AT ALL!! THE CASE IS MADE OF A HARD RUBBER SHELL THAT OFFERS LOTS OF BOUNCE PROTECTION. I CAN FIT MY POCKET, CHARGER AND CABLES AND EXTRA SD CARDS IN THE SLOTS! Can hold charger, ds, ds games, and still have space for some other small gadgets? And the case is durable? 10/10. Only complaint I have is that I needed to use a flat usb charging head and a usb-type ds charger to fit my 3ds and the chargers into the case without it needing to expand/stretch the case. It would certainly fit without the need, but I like my things perfect, not slightly tight, thus my 4 star. ... show more

It’s a really good case and fits my 3DS XL perfectly and the charger. Only complaint is I keep it in my backpack and when I put other things in with it it gets dented. That’s to be expected with a case that protects something but it kinda bums me out. We shall see how it holds up in the long run. The games fit pretty snug until you use them often. ... show more
