  • Works Great
Works great. I was able to keep track of my daughter(with her permission), when she volunteered for a month in Costa Rica

  • Wonderful option for those without an Iphone
While buying a bike, I had to figure out a way to protect it in case of an emergency like theft, and looking online for trackers, you can quickly tell that the world was designed around Iphone. All these trackers seemed to only be compatible with "find my Iphone" at the time I bought this. I have a samsung phone, so while doing some research, I came across this. I figured it was better than not having a tracker at all, and it sure was! My brand new bike was stolen 10 days after I bought it, and with the way this contraption fit onto the bike with easy installation , the design being very unique, and it's build quality, no one though that this was a tracker. Everyone is looking for airbags! I found my bike the same day it was stolen! The samsung tag worked very well inside and I'd say that this very worth it ... show more

  • Works
Im gonna leave this review for what it's worth. Im a patroller at a lift access park. This thing has taken abuse and very wet and dry conditions. It does what it's supposed to do.

  • Screws way too long
I bought two of these a while back, one for each of our bikes. Just got around to putting them on getting the bikes ready for spring. The cases are good, but the screws to attach them to the bike frame are about a 1/2" too long. This means I am going to have to go out and find new screws that will work. Not overly happy about that. The screws that came with it are 1" long and that is unrealistic to fit most bike frames. ... show more

  • Good design, time will tell on durability
Android users get screwed on tracking devices but this is the best solution I found for my bike. Cool design but the plastic (and waterproofing) is pretty questionable. I'll have to see overtime if it holds up or not.

  • Adds a little security to a bike - probably better vs casual theft, not a pro. And three suggestions
NOTE: This is not a theft-prevention device. It is, at best, a "maybe recover a stolen bike" tool. Maybe helps if the bike is stolen by a "casual" or "opportunistic" thief who won't know to look for hidden trackers. A knowledgeable thief will know to check the bike for hidden smart tags and air tags. For that thief, you have as long as it takes them to search the bike and remove the tags. SUGGESTION: Hide two or three tags on the bike. Perhaps the thief will find one and think they are safe. The water bottle placement is a good location for one of the tags (until this location becomes widely-known to bike thieves). The use of the Torx wrench is a good move - makes it less likely a casual thief has one handy to remove the tracker. SUGGESTION 2: Keep the Torx wrench in your bike repair bag so that you have the wrench handy in case you need to tighten the bolts when you're on the road. The fit of the Smart Tag inside the case is a little loose - it rattles. SUGGESTION 3: A small (dime-size) piece of very thin foam is enough to create a tighter fit. Be careful to place the foam in a place that will not press the button to turn the Smart Tag on and off. ... show more
