Great Smart Ring in a Great Price!

I’m very impressed with this smart ring, especially for the price. It feels lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day and even while sleeping. The sleep tracking is one of my favorite features because it clearly shows light and deep sleep, and the battery lasts several days before needing a charge. It also tracks heart rate, blood oxygen, steps, calories, and other activity data, which makes it useful for everyday health and fitness monitoring. The app is easy to use, there are no subscription fees and share the data with My Health App in Apple. When got this I was so excited! I wore it for a day. Then when I went to take it off to charge it was stuck. So I ran my finger under cold water to get it off. I figured since it was so cheap I would give this one to my daughter and I ordered another one in a size up. The second ring came and fit perfectly I unpaired the old ring and hooked up the new one no problem. I was working great. I went to bed and I realized that my app no longer had the temperature ask the HRV which is one of the main reasons I bought it to keep track of my stress levels. I messaged customer service 2x and it’s been over a week with no response. I noticed my step count seemed really low so I decided to were just watch to see if it was off. Was it off??!!! YES! My watch tracked over 6000 steps and my ring only tracked 1700. I guess I get what I paid for. I will be researching hung other rings for a better option. R11M Smart Ring, Silver, Size 14 Pros: –Affordable price to test whether I like and trust smart health fitness devices –Model R11M is rebranded with a few sellers so shop price if you believe you might like this ring. –Purchased sizing kit, my right ring finger typically is size 12, needed 14 to fit my left index/pointer finger –Nice charging and storage case, light is red while charging, turns green when completed Cons: --SmartHealth app is supposed to have issues with functionality and reliability –Emailed Unijethro asking whether the R11M ring is compatible with a different app, they did not respond Other thoughts: –Did a lot of research regarding how to determine correct ring size, which finger to wear ring and how to ensure sensors are correctly positioned on the finger. Non-dominant hand, index finger is recommended wearing position but we can test different fingers for best results and comfort --The AB2026B3 chipset and SC7A20H G-sensor are components used in numerous smart devices so buyer issues and disappointments might be related to poorly designed monitoring apps –Wish rings had some sort of mark or indentation on the surface showing position where charging port and sensor light are located. Rings rotate on fingers, I position charging port and sensing light on the bottom pad of index finger so readings are accurate. Tried adding a dab of paint or adhesive label but they don’t adhere to the metal. Have to remove ring, look for port then return ring to finger. Alternative is watch for flashing sensor light then rotate ring to desired position, –Found professional review stating reliable BP readings are best accomplished using traditional arm cuff method; smart rings/watches are widely inaccurate, results should be viewed as a marker for comparison to cuff readings. The BP feature might be viewed as a marketing gimmick. Only one product from a South Korean clinical trial has been identified as certifiable for BP readings and components are not yet available in products sold in the US. Update about SmartHealth app: -- So far, so good. Easy Smart Health app installation and configuration. User profile requests for far less personal information than the smart watch app I tested and immediately deleted. Felt comfortable first testing app and ring with a visitor profile, without logging in, on an extra phone I have. After testing for stability and reliability a few days, created a regular user account on my permanent phone; therefore lost data from first phone. Using R11M ring on Android 14 cell phone. App does not work with PC or tablet. Cons: –App drains cell phone battery fast. Typically charge phone every 3-4 days, with app active in the background, required daily. Other Thoughts: –App does monitor multiple sleep cycles within one day. Sleep overnight 10 hours, then took a 2-1/2 nap same day, both sleep length cycles were recorded. Some people complain this feature does not record on their phones. --Configuring and/or editing features was straight forward and stable. Have to remember to tap either “save” or “sure” in upper right corner for app to save settings and/or edits. Monitoring can be configured on a scheduled basis or user can trigger a real time reading and it syncs with app on phone. Charting can be displayed daily, weekly or monthly. --Took unit to recent doctor visit for comparison. Body temp about 1 degree difference between finger or temple readings, which is normal. Blood oxygen matches medical grade devices. Blood pressure using smart devices is widely considered less reliable than standard arm cuff readings. The app versus arm cuff readings is way off. As an older person with a couple health issues, doctors is pleased I’m monitoring at home for comparison with their routine in-office readings. –Wish author would edit app to schedule readings every 12 hours or once daily. Currently, max schedule on my app is every 60 minutes/hourly. ... show more

I WANTED to love this fitness ring...

I wanted to LOVE this product so much. It tracks optics that my Garmin does not track, and the app is a simple interface. Unfortunately, the app would not connect to my Apple Health. Not sure if it was an app issue or a me issue. But I work in tech support and tried numerous ways to get the two systems to sync, and nothing worked. Having the Apple Health connection was the MAIN reason I purchased this ring, and let's be real, the price is a bargain. I'm really picky about what colour gold I wear and this gold was perfect. The ring itself wasn't too bulky. It was comfortable to wear and personally I felt that the size 9 was a true size 9. I would say if you are okay with the ring's app not connecting to Apple Health this is a great purchase. But for me it is a deal breaker. ... show more

Love it! I enjoy the fact I can set it to take readings every 30 minutes. Also, you can calibrate the blood pressure readings, so they are more accurate. Unlike the one we spent $150 on and lasted 3 days. Amount of sleep: It only records the sleep you get at "night". My sleep pattern, because of chronic pain, is 2-3 hours sleep and 2-3 hours up. It will only record the "sleep" between 9 pm and 8 am even though I might sleep until later in the morning. Up all night? I will have a day with no sleep recorded and STILL get told I got "good" sleep. Battery: With taking readings every half an hour, the battery lasts about 7 days. I keep the charging pod hanging by the side of the bed. It takes about an hour to re-charge. I will put it on the magnetic cord charger when I have someone here to help me with a gloriously long shower. That takes about 30 -45 minutes to fully recharge the battery. Water resistant: I've washed hands with it on. Gone in a shallow pool with it on. Accidentally in the shower with me (I'm usually good about taking jewelry off because if it drops down the drain, I'm SOL on retrieving it). Durability: Not saying my jewelry gets beat up, but my rings get beat up usually mobility aides. I've had this one about 6 months now and scratches are just starting to appear, and the "bottom" of the ring is starting to go "flat". One star off? Sizing. It was a horrible experience trying to get an actual size 10 ring. I even used their little ring sizer that came with them that confirmed I was indeed a size 10. First ring: WAY to big. Could've worn it on my big toe. Second ring: WAY too small that it barely fit my pinky. Third ring (gosh I feel like Goldilocks!) It fit my pointer finger comfortably. Second star off? The app. It is horrendous at times getting the app to just open (restarting the phone seems to help). It will also be temperamental with connecting to the app for the readings. It won't let you look at the history of readings without the ring being connected. ... show more
