However, I have them connected to my Google home and when I try to turn a group on/off or even change the color, some don’t turn. I've been needing and wanting more energy efficient bulbs for the upstairs for ages, I also thought it'd be neat to be able to connect them to a smart home system such as with my Alexa. *** MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE CORRECT APP! There are imitators that try to take your money. After doing a fair bit of research on reviews and such I decided to try these, then after trying them I used them for a couple months before deciding on a review. These are a replacement of flickering bulbs that were low powered (40 Watts). While the functionality with Google and Alexa's smart home stuff is basic compared to the manufacturer's app they both still work quite well for basic lighting. These ones in particular are essentially set and forget. You can put them into a standard socket, turn that socket on then pair the lights and just leave the socket on. The app or your voice will control turning them on or off. Even so, if you need to resync them the process is just so darn easy. Took only a handful of seconds per lightbulb! The app works well and lets you create little scenes that let you go through all sorts of different colors and light intensities to set a mood for just about whatever you're after. The voice commands through Alexa and Google work well though I haven't been able to figure out how to use a scene with them from the app, I don't think you can, but that's alright, for standard lighting you can use both Google and Alexa to set the intensity of the lights, turn them on or off all at once if you group them or separately if you use whatever name you gave the individual light, and even set their color. These connected very easily to the Smart Life app. The extra brightness that these bulbs provide is appreciated in my garage. They also have a very good white color adjustment, which is better than many other color bulbs that I have used.

The item was delivered, box opened and bulb installed above my kitchen sink within 15 minutes. The description should make the fact that this bulb is compatible with the Smart Life App. It connected itself before I was able to unfold the enclosed documentation. We are now able to control it with ALL Alexa devices, not just the “show”. Although this is being used for task lighting with a warm white setting, the colors that are available are quite fun. I now have a WiZ bulb that’s going on a shelf in my garage. I wish the Smart Life company would have a listing of products that are compatible with their app. ... show more

I love these smart light bulbs. I synced them with Alexa. Now I can tell Alexa to turn on any mood setting color, like red, blue, purple, and more, as well as the bright while light. I have already recommended them to friends and family and I will purchasing them for my entire home!

    • Good but some major desyncing issues

I like the bulbs. The app is pretty basic and I would love for them to add better automation capabilities. I would give these a 4 star but I have had major issues with the bulbs desyncing and requiring I re-add them in the app. I get that the flashing lights really point out that they need attached to a network but holy hell is it annoying. I had to just remove the ones in my bathroom because they would go into this mode almost every day and sometimes MULTIPLE times in a day. It's really frustrating to be just wanting to go to the bathroom at 3 in the morning and for a flipping rave light show to start up when you are hoping for a dimmed light to not wake you up. If there is a firmware update it would be great for the reconnect/desync mode to instead of being a seizure inducing flash to instead... IDK... use the last setting applied and do a very light pulse???? ... show more
