The charger itself appears to work fine, but the battery is extremely unreliable. I’m not sure if I received a defective unit, but the battery percentage reported by my a6700 often differs drastically from what the charger indicates. For example, the camera may show 100% charge while the charger reports only around 60%. Even worse, during normal use the camera battery level can suddenly drop from 43% to 1%, while the charger still claims the battery is at 80%. My original Sony battery has never exhibited this kind of inconsistent behavior. Because of this, I cannot recommend this battery due to its inaccurate charge reporting and unpredictable performance.

I own a few chargers for my Sony A7RV. This is actually my least favorite. Don't get me wrong it does the job and it's no slower or faster than any of the others. However, It seems cheaply built (which is surprising for a small rig product) and the biggest downer here is that it only charges ONE BATTERY AT A TIME. Now I'm sure you're forewarned of this before you purchase it but if you make a hasty purchase, like myself, because you were excited at the prospects of charging two batteries at the same time you will be greatly disappointed like myself. Just know what you're buying and remember, at the end of the day, yes, it does work as promised.

If this is important to you it will only charge one battery at a time. I have a neewer charger and it will charge two batteries at the same time. Considering the high price it should have more bells and whistles. Also you need two hands to grab a battery where as with the open type chargers you can grab a battery with one hand. A problem if you have cameras in your hand and you need to grab a battery from the charger quickly. I'm returning it and buying a couple of separate batteries to using on the charger I already have.
