  • Sony a6000
This SmallRig DOES fit the Sony A6000 with no issues. Assembly was easy with one screw at the bottom of the and another screw on the right side going through the camera strap hole into the rig. Installing the handgrip was easy too, just 2 Allenkey screws at the bottom of the grip. This rig is great and provides a good grip when handling your APS-C camera for long durations. Little side note, when using full frame lens with this rig there is very little clearance for your fingers to fit in between the lens and the grip. ... show more

  • Temporary 5/5
Put this on a Sony A6400 Mirrorless camera. Easy installation took less than a minute, fits great. It allows room to still have your hand/wrist/neck straps, and still can mount the body onto tripods. I do enjoy how it gives me a larger surface to grip the camera and hold it still better. As far as weight goes, it does add a little bit to the camera, but it also adds a slight peace of mind of some level of protection. As the title states "Temporary 5/5" is due to me not willing to drop it intentionally. If that day ever happens, I'll update this review with details of the durability at that point. ... show more

  • fantastic grip
When I first put this cage on my camera I wasn't completely sold but man did it grow on me. I have the Sony 70-350 and it is really uncomfortable to use that lens without some kind of grip. This is one of the few must have accessories for any Sony apsc user in my opinion.

  • Almost perfect
This makes the a6400 feel so much better in your hand, but there are a few issues that make this fall a little short from perfect. To set your expectations, I am not a videographer, I am not using the cold shoes or any other attachments, except for the smallrig hand grip, which works perfectly once you loosen it enough to allow your hand to reach the shutter. The main problem I'd love to see solved is with some details of the grip itself. It has two holes on the front: one near the bottom, for the screw that holds the grip in place (why couldn't they put it on the underside?), and one so the grip doesn't block (what I assume is) the IR remote sensor. These two holes have somewhat sharp edges, and they are mildly uncomfortable over long periods of use. Furthermore, the fact that the top of the grip is not held in place by a screw gives me durability concerns. Finally, the screw used to hold the grip is not the same size as the one holding the camera in place through the strap anchor, so the tool used to attach the camera to the cage won't help if you need to make adjustments to the grip on location. The other issue is that the grip puts your fingers closer to the lens, and if you have thicker fingers and a fast lens, there's a lack of real estate and your ergonomics will be compromised. My average fingers get stuck on the Sigma Art 28-70 f2.8. Depending on your personal ergonomics preferences and the way you use the camera, these may not be an issue for you. It's a solid product, and I would recommend it to almost anyone. ... show more

  • PLEASE NOTE
ONLY 2 screws are included in the package which are, and only fits the grip. On the cage itself, it also includes a screw port on the right side which connects to where the neck strap goes for increased stability from the top being jostled around. It's not necessarily easy to wiggle, along the same difficulty as trying to wiggle a tooth that's not loose (weird analogy) but something to keep in mind. You could also check the official smallrig site which definitely gives all 3 screws, however, for me it doesn't give me enough incentive to return it and go through the whole process again. Great product nonetheless. ... show more

  • Easily the Best Investment for your Camera
Awesome cage for my a6300. Fits perfect, adds a robustness to the grip. Gives you two extra mounts for mics/flashes, etc. Easily the best investment to protect your camera, make it more versatile and make it more enjoyable to hold/use. I have the silicone grip, which is great, but they also have a wood grip option if that's your thing. I've included images of it in the Sony travel case, it doesn't take up THAT much more room. ... show more
