The LED light does not work, stays in blue all the time. The because the tank is good size and filter works good. The pump works so the water is clean but I’d wish I could turn it off the light without unplugging the power cord.

I ordered this for my young kids to have their own little aquarium, since they love seeing other aquariums in public. This is the first one I've even had in years, and that was even just a tiny pumpless tank. This tank was pretty easy to setup, but the instructions are pretty bland. It comes with a water pump, lights, rocks the tank and some extra hose parts and filters and little trees. This so far seems to be a nice little starter tank, while I think eventually we will upgrade to a bigger one down the road. Everything has been functioning normal so far and the fish seem to be doing fine with it. The only thing I know some people like and use on tanks would be it doesn't have any type of heating element on it. Overall, it's definitely much nicer than the plain tanks I've had in the past and my kids love watching the fish. ... show more

as soon as i put my fish in it got sucked up in the filter. mind you she was around 1.5 inches, not a small fish. i left the lights on for a while only for them to nearly burn my hands when checking if it was too hot. i could not say no to this fish tank enough. this was supposed to be my temporary tank until i get a 5 gallon tank for my betta fish on monday but guess now she’s dead. i don’t know how i can return this product soaking wet but i’m truly heartbroken that i listened to these reviews. ... show more

I'm always looking for great starter tanks for kids, especially kids who are looking to getting into the hobby. I own 15 fish tanks, of various sizes. I do love small tanks like this, because they are perfect for the bedroom night stand, the office as a gift for a co-worker and of course used a small hospital tank for small fish if you needed something ASAP in an event of an emergency. The fish tank comes with everything you would need to setup the tank with the exception of the bottom. By bottom, I am suggesting you opt for sand and never gravel. Small tanks with gravel is just a nightmare, as the fish waste will fall below the gravel rather than on the surface of the sand. You can clean the tank using the self cleaning feature OR you can just use the airline tube method as well. The tank came in perfect condition, no leaking, no seal issues.
