I’ve used tapes that were similar to this one and here is how this one is better: I tried it on my painted wall and was able to remove it without tearing the paint. Others I tried didn’t remove with any ease and also stripped the paint. Others also cautioned not to use on just about everything you’d need it for. This brand says you can use it on glass, for carpets, and on a painted wall. I haven’t tried it on all those surfaces yet. I only tried it on the wall the last brand stripped and this one worked fine. I’ve applied and easily removed it from a few surfaces so far. Another plus is that the tape roll itself isn’t sticking to anything I set near it. Other brands have been frustrating to store because they bond to what’s around them and don’t let go. So far, this has done just what I needed; held up what I placed on the wall and released it without destruction when I was ready. I’m going to toss the other brands I’ve bought in the past. Some of those brands offer a huge amount for the money but it’s worthless when it doesn’t do the job you need. I found that this worked with much less tape.

This double sided tape is great. It is nice and wide. It is easy to cut and to peel off the backing. I used it already to secure a cloth cushion onto a wooden chair. I put a piece of tape in the middle of the seat and two pieces on each side of the seat towards the front. The cushion is holding well, stays in place and does not slide off. I also used this tape to secure the suction cups in a shower organizer. I cleaned the suction cups and the tile wall with alcohol. Then I put a piece of tape behind each of the suction cups. I pressed the suction cups onto the wall for a minute and they stuck strong. They are holding strong to the wall and do not move or come off. I plan to use this tape around the house for any light or heavy duty jobs. I am very happy with this product.

I have had one experience with alien-like tape. I was trying to hang a student art show on a concrete wall and the command-type hooks kept falling off. Ditto with the masking and duct tape I brought. Luckily, another teacher had some of this double-sided stuff. I was skeptical…. But OMG, it worked! And even better because it wouldn’t damage the wall. I hadn’t invested in my own roll yet, but ordered this when it became available. Wanted to try it on holiday decorations. It’s not a huge roll, but I’m cutting small strips. As with the name-brand version, this will gunk up your scissors. But from my early tests, it works well. Have it holding up a couple of small picture frames + a wood plaque (all around 8x10), using two small strips on each. Nice, firm hold. I am not sure how heavy this can go. Obviously, I’m sure the more you use on an object, the more weight it will support. Also removed cleanly from paint. For my needs, this is absolutely great. Would recommend.

I love this heavy, double sided mounting tape. It has so many uses and sticks to anything smooth. I used several thicknesses of this tape on my smooth bricks outdoors to attach some metal objects for a display in 32 degree weather, and they stuck just fine. Of course, it probably has even more uses indoors. But be cautious if thinking about attaching it to a painted wall. Make sure the wall is clean and dry so that the tape won't remove any wall paint or drywall when you remove it. I also used this tape to attach hanging acrylic/plastic neon Christmas signs to the inside of my glass door wall by adding several thick pieces along the top of the front so that it would stick to the glass. And it works like a charm even if the glass sweats. There must be 101 uses for this fantastic tape!

I used a small piece of this double sided tape on a painted wall to put up a poster. It is very strong, and while it didn’t remove the paint, you have to be careful peeling it off because it almost felt like the sheetrock paper was coming loose underneath the paint. Lol. It’s a slightly smaller roll than some others I have gotten in the past, but it comes with a nice plastic core that can be used in a dispenser. This is better quality than others I have used in the past.

I had this poster that I just would not stay on the wall with the tape I had on hand. I was hoping this would finally keep the poster up. I put a strip across the top of the poster and another at the bottom. It has been a week and there have been no signs of the poster falling so it seems like this works as advertised. My one complaint is that I had a hard time cutting it with the first scissors I tried. I really mangled the edge. The second time I cut this tape, I pulled out some better scissors and managed a smoother cut this time, so make sure you cut these with nice, sharp scissors.

I love this stuff! I can think of so many project in the past that I could have used something like this on. So far I've only used a little square under the edge of my metal silverware caddy in my kitchen drawer and it's holding perfectly, better than grippy drawer liners. It will be a staple in my house from now on.

So I’m glad I got these. It’s really heavy duty. The adhesive is really heavy. I used it to hang up an extension cord for holiday lights. Feels steady enough I even pulled on it to see if it would come off and it stayed in place.
