If religion doesn’t scare you. This is a book to make you think and rethink your beliefs. It does talk about God and Jesus and makes you think. I’m impressed with the skill used to start out the growth of a man of God into a politician. Great story. Well worth reading.

This is the first book I have read by this author, and I'm so glad I did. It's the first book of fiction that I've read that kept my attention and was thought provoking at the same time. As I read, I was lead to really examine my beliefs on some current issues and ways to effectively defend them. The story itself was also very good. Thank you Mr. Lamb for this experience. I am not sure I will finish this book. I like the story, and I like the character portrayals, but the narration is like being read to by a second grader. There is no emotion in any sense, and the inflections do not fit the situation, simply flat for a period and slightly elevated for a question mark. And as for the President's daughter, I have no idea what her name is supposed to be. Sometimes it is Mehow, sometimes Mecow or Mechow. It is a good book ruined by poor reading. On the positive side, I now know never to buy another audiobook with a "computer-generated voice." ... show more
