The tire slime is a last choice for a simple slow leak or puncture in the tread, but never at the sidewall. That being said, the embedded plastic valve removal tool in the bottle cap of slime can be damaged by a stubborn valve and only a small metal tool can give the support and leverage to remove it. There are different types of slime and the most useful seems to have a two year patch life, which means that a tire can have a slow leak sealed then the set of tires can be replaced when convenient instead of a difficult cleanup and internal patch within two weeks. The pictures show pothole damage to the sidewall and sidewall damage by driving a block to the gas station. This tire with under 3,000 miles is not repairable and road hazard only covers free replacement not reimbursement when you have to get a new tire from a nearby tire shop. ... show more
