I wouldn't say this is "cooling" but it is cooler than the mattress pad we had, by a bit. We have a SleepNumber bed and that mattress just gets hot. This pad has helped reduce that feeling somewhat. It is a little more puffy than our old pad too, so it adds a nice little bit of cushion. I have a split king adjustable bed and hated the feel of the split in the middle of the bed. It's definitely not as thick as the photo makes it out to be, and I have yet to wash and dry it and confirm if it shrinks to an unusable size as some claim. It has helped with my insomnia, so much so that I just can't leave my bed now. It's my first mattress cover, I hope it lasts me a long time. I'd add that it's somehow made my mattress cooler and I've stopped sweating during the summer. I researched far and wide what covers are cooling, and I ended up with this one.
