I have a crazy hard bed but can't get a new mattress at this time. With upcoming breast cancer surgery I knew I needed something to help keep me comfortable. Of course this doesn't turn my mattress in to a $1,000 dollar new mattress, but it makes all the difference in the world. I dryer fluffed it first. We bought these mattress toppers for our new split cal king adjustable beds. I suffer.from Anklyosing Spondylitis and Psoriatic Arthritis. So basically I have major pain in all of my joints, while my husband is as healthy as can be. So wanting and needing and extra layer of support and comfort I researched deeply for a good mattress cover & back comfort.. It is suggested to just put the covers into the dryer to plump them up. I washed and dried them.... Here's the thing though, I have an EXTRA large washer that I can was our King size quilt in and the cover were so plunp that I could only wash 1 cover at a time!! I will update after we sleep on them!I *UPDATE* My husband is raving about these toppers! He slept (haha)on the brand new mattress for 1 week before these toppers arrived and was miserable...after we put these on it was like sleeping on a cloud!! Don't waist your hard earned money on some other brand. These hold the fluff and don't disperse like the cheaper brands.. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Ships from Cali so it took 3 days to come to DE. Well worth the wait cause WE LOVE IT! It revived our old pillow top mattress. Very comfortable and fluffy. Popped it in the dryer to fluff up as the instructions said. We didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning. So if you’re reading this review, trust me in saying you will not regret purchasing this topper! UPDATE: STILL COMFORTABLE!! I was worried that the fluffiness would disappear but I was wrong. Best purchase ever! (11/27/2019) UPDATE #2 : So...it’s finally getting a little flat. Maybe it’s because of how I have to wash it. The tag says to use a washer without an agitator. Oh well. For the price this topper is a great value, but it is better for a bed that already has an existing comfort top that has maybe lost some of its pillow top feel. This topper is not as thick as is perceived in the professional photos, and leaves you lying on your old mattress in your pressure points, which kind of undoes its whole purpose... Well made, super soft material, and the elastic skirt is very deep and durable! But its only about 1.25" thick from the lower pillow tops side seem to top ribbing. And the squares are more plush, but don't hold up to any weight. ... show more

If only washing didn’t kill the fluff, this topper would be fantastic. We’ll get there, I promise (Go to “FAST FORWARD” if you want to skip ahead). I own an adjustable hospital bed that has a rather hard mattress and no box spring (because it’s adjustable). Raising it helps alleviate pain (back injury), but the hardness creates pain elsewhere (everywhere else — LOL). Bought this topper off recommendations and it did make my bed is so comfy. I was so careful to follow instructions to the tee and let the mattress lay on my bed a few hours before retiring for the night. The pics are after my first night; you can see the fluff and make the comparison with my actual mattress. FAST FORWARD to wash day. Oh, my poor, once fluffy friend! Where have you gone? See the second two photos and you can see a marked difference. I don’t know what to do now. I did buy this on sale, but still spent $60. I was careful to wash and dry as directed. I know Amazon won’t take it, and don’t know about the manufacturer. The only thing I would do differently is maybe not tumble dry on low. I would perhaps let it dry in the sun. This is the only thing I can think of doing. I’m so bummed right now. 😭 ... show more

Very disappointing. I had purchased this item in hopes it would help pad and soften a new mattress we purchased that was too hard for us to sleep comfortably on. As it turns out this pad, while it appears to be fairly well padded and well made, only made the surface of the bed even harder than it was without the pad! We kept it on there several weeks, figuring it might need a 'breaking in' period, but that never materialized. I still don't understand how the pad could make the mattress feel harder, not softer, but there you have it. It was so bad that it began to cause pain in my hip and shoulder when I slept on my side, and my bad back has been so flared up that I've had to return to my chiropractor repeatedly for treatment. I finally gave up, removed the pad and just placed two super cheap twin xl standard foam toppers on the mattress. THAT worked! And to think I could've solved the problem for only $20. And of course, it's too late to return it. So, Goodwill will be getting a mattress pad. :/ ... show more
