  • Works and looks great!
It fits my vive perfectly (or should I say the vive fits IT perfectly...)! I did loosen the straps on my vive a little because I knew it would sit for a while and didn't want the braces on the skywin VR stand to leave an impression on the foam insert of the vive's viewport. I can agree with some people who say that it almost feels a little too front-heavy; it almost does. It remains stable but wouldn't take much to tip it forward if a headset is mounted on it. Otherwise it looks very nice and having the cord wound and out of the way using the recess provided on this VR stand is a big plus! Totally worth the money to me and I would recommend it to a friend! ... show more

  • At'll do, Skywin; at'll do.
tl;dr - Used with Vive Pro: Great stand, I like it a lot. Pro: Simple, elegant, mostly well designed, simple construction Con: A bit more expensive than it probably should be. Cable mangement design isn't practical.

  • Works great for keeping a Vive neatly on a shelf!
I'm using this for a Vive on a shelf above my computer desk. The stand involved only a bit of assembly but it was really easy - just snap the pieces together. The shelf neatly holds the headset, and the cable spool at the bottom is pretty handy (once I realized I needed to use the cable hook on one of the arms). I have the deluxe audio strap, and loosening it all the way made the headset slip all the way down to where it was resting on the upper velcro strap. I found the best way to use the deluxe audio strap with this stand was to loosen it all the way, hold it where you want it to sit, and tighten it just slightly. That way the strap grips the arms a little and holds the weight of the strap. My only concern with this is how light it feels. However, the base has a wide footprint, so I'm not super worried. There's some holes on the bottom that the instructions say you can use to screw something heavy to the bottom, but I haven't tried this. The stand is also a bit taller than expected - I have to lift my Vive out and to the side to get it out of the stand. Otherwise, I have no complaints! I'll update this review if I ever have problems with this stand tipping over. ... show more

  • It's a big and bulky waste of money
This was not designed by people who use VR. This is massive for what it does. It takes up a huge amount of space. The "cord control" on the back is just a place to wrap the headset cord around. So if you were to use that, you'd have to manually spool and unspool it every time you were to use the system. What's the point in that? Also, there was too much depth in the stand, so the vertical poles dug into the headset face padding when placed on the stand. This product solves no problems and causes a few new ones. ... show more

  • Cheap with assembly problems
The pieces don't snap together correctly and the plastic feels cheap.

  • HMD Unit: Samsung Odyssey
So I selected this model based on the fact the front part against the head band is open in the middle. My Odyssey auto detects when you put it on and starts WMR, so stands that had parts in front of that sensor (such as head shaped holders) weren't an option. Pros: - Easy to put together. - Universal fit (doesn't trigger the WMR auto detect for putting ont he headset). - Cord management spool. (Though I'm not sure if anyone would use this, I wont be). Cons: - The build quality doesn't feel really worth the $30 I paid for it. - It's front heavy. It's solid when sitting on a desk, but if you're at all prone to bump it, or tug on a cord, you're going to want to weigh down the base. My overall summary of this stand would be: Get's the job done. ... show more

Working well for my HTC Vive. Some small issues with tipping in my setup as I keep the cables running up to my ceiling with an movable and height adjustable desk. But this is more how I've ran the cables than the product itself. Thinking of weighing it down with something or perhaps some adhesive pads to keep everything in place when moving around and placing tension on the cables. ... show more

  • This is the one to get
Very easy to assemble. Fits all of the headsets very nicely. Larger than I thought it would be there for the cables wrap around it very nicely. I have tried several headset holders all of them had one serious drawback or another, this one is the one to get. I find it very secure and practical to use. ... show more
