Great game my daughter loves it and she is able to use her characters from the previous games with it also, so that's a plus. Item was exactly as described and everything was in perfect condition. The character figures are well detailed.The price was also amazing for this item as I saw it at another physical store for 4 times the price I paid on here. The item arrived several days faster than expected as well. The gameplay on this game is way better than Disney Infinity series as it has an actual storyline. Even though the characters are unknown other that the Spyro ones, they are all unique and my daughter likes them. The game also has some great voiceover work using some well known voice actors such as Richard Steven Horvitz who voiced Invader Zim, Billy from the Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy. And Billy West who voiced Bender in Futurama, Ren and Stimpy and tons more. The gameplay is not to hard for a child to play either, while it is very easy for an adult, the children is who the game is made for and I believe it falls into a good balance of difficulty for them while still being fun enough for adults to enjoy as well. ... show more

This starter kit comes with 2 characters. Food Fight, and Slap Shot. Food Fight is a character for the Life element. He looks like a small tomato who shoots tomatoes out of his tomato gun. The other character is Snap Shot he is a Water element character. He looks like a big fish holding a harpoon, and shoots anchors. The game also comes with 2 traps. One for Water, the other for Life. When playing the game, and you are in an elemental area, you come upon a villainous character, and you want to trap him, (The villain can be also used in certain missions, as a character in the game), You place the trap that is for that particular element in the Traptanium portal and "Trap" the villain. This is a Starter Pack, it comes with 1-Video Game for which ever Machine device you are going to use. 1-Traptanium Portal, I'm not sure if it is machine specific. The 2-Skylanders Figures Food Fight and Slap Shot, 2-Traps Water, and Life, 1-Character Collector Poster for all the characters you collect, 2-Sticker Sheets: One for Food Fight, and one for Slap Shot, along with the Secret Codes (for online), and the 2-Trading Cards, one for Food Fight, and Slap Shot. ... show more

This is a lot of fun and I have a five year old that can play it fine. Sometimes he needs a little help if there is a really difficult part but for the most part he is old enough to handle it on his own. There are tons of characters to collect and play with so save up.

Im far behind on technology. My toddler knows all about these skylanders and their powers than i do about a lot of things. We bought a box of used figures but this kit/set comes with "traps" that we didnt have so the kid was excited about that. This game has deleted our save file 2 times in 12 days. PS4 says Global Save File Curropt. Called Activision and they are sending me a new disc in 7-10 days. Gamers need to vote with their wallet and not buy games that are rushed out and not tested. I have no desire to play through 1/2 the game for the third time to get beck to where we were. My five year old son lost interest in this rather quickly. I'm disappointed that he did not like it very much and has not asked for any other characters. I'm keeping it to see if anything changes as he gets older.

Purchased this as a Christmas present for my three-year-old and he loves it. Skylanders is recommended for children six and up, but the gameplay is simple enough for my son to follow.
