Our cats have always liked to break into the bags bread products come in. Until recently, being sure to put them in the cabinet immediately was effective enough to keep them safe - and then they learned how to nudge the doors open. Most might use the fridge or microwave for storage at that point, but I don’t like cold bread, it quickly gets annoying to move things in and out of the microwave when you want to use it, and most importantly. . . . . .they didn’t stop anyway! The furry little demons soon established rather forcefully their lack of intent to cease breaking and entering, and their absolute willingness to knock anything and everything around and/or off of the shelves in pursuit of an interesting item, space to curl up in, or a roll of paper towels to abuse. This was not a viable situation in the long term, not at all. I’d never particularly considered babyproofing products for pet-related uses, but after a quick search I found a lot of products of this type - mostly divided between outer latches like these, and ‘invisible’ ones that are installed inside the cabinets. I’m not sure what I’d have picked on my own - on one hand I like not messing with the appearance of the cabinet doors, but on the other hand I remember when my mom installed her own ‘invisible’ latches and it seemed annoyingly complicated. However, as the person I live with isn’t the most dexterous, this type seemed the obvious choice. I picked these in particular for the price, as I’m on a strict budget. Of course I had worries about quality, but I can’t be clear enough that these were ultimately worth every cent. Installation was a breeze. The adhesive remains strong after quite some time now, during which I admit I have absolutely used the long side to pull a door open after unlatching. Most importantly? The cats haven’t gotten into anything since, but we barely notice they’re there both functionally and aesthetically. I recommend.

My baby is learning how to crawl and I knew I needed to lock my cupboards but wanted something that was subtle on our white cabinets. I liked the idea of the hidden magnet locks but was worried we’d end up losing the main magnet to unlock them. Came across these and they are just perfect! I was worried they’d look bulky but you really don’t even notice them unless you know they’re there. They’re also very easy and quick to unlock/lock.

I love these, I previously had the green and white ones that you punch the 2 clips in and it pops off. The adhesive failed after a while on them but mainly my toddler figured it out before he was 2 years old. He's almost 3 now and loves to dump toys and clothes and anything in a bin... Luckily this keeps those clothes folded and freezer shut. Now if I can just find my left over 3 as I just bought a new dresser.

Okay, so the honest truth is these won’t last forever if you have older kids and maybe even some adults that aren’t always paying attention BUT they work for quite a while and stick to all kinds of surfaces well. Pop off clean with little effort when your ready to remove them. We have a toddler who wouldn’t stay out of the fridge so we needed a solution that the 11 yr old could still manage without constantly asking to unlock it. This works and has worked well for us.

Super quick and easy to install. Very easy to use and the adhesive is good quality. I just wish the parts that have the adhesive on them were a little smaller. They are a good size but we're a little big for some places on our cabinets. I was still able to find a way to attach them.
