I was really looking forward to getting this headset as these will be replacing my old SLYR 1st gen. They have great sound quality and are super loud I don't even need to go up 50% volume, the fit is VERY noise isolating I was surprised I couldn't quite hear myself speaking clearly. They have a battery incorporated but it's only when using via USB and to use the Skull HQ app or the volume wheel in the headset, and they charge while connected so you don't even need to worry about the battery dying! You can also use the 3.5 mm cable and don't even need to turn them on, the ear pads are real soft and it doesn't hurt my head while using it from 9-5. Mic quality is good although it doesn't really bend. They are not as fragile as people say I think the materials are really good and the colors are pretty, the cables are flat and seem very durable. My only complain would be that they slide off your head easily. Overall this is a great headset but I'm not and audio expert so to me they are good and I would definitely recommend these they look really good. ... show more

I’ve had skullcandy headphones before, like when I was 10 (I’m 30 now), and remembered they were great. So I bought these to use for my call center job, and WOW, they are amazing! Blocks out about 90% of sound, so I can concentrate, and the mic quality is super . My coworkers said it’s very loud and very clear. Definitely recommend you get these. I might even get another set for gaming I’m so impressed. They are also extremely comfortable as well and adjust accordingly to your fit. ... show more

Skull candy has always been my choice of brand when it comes to headphones, headsets, etc. This one is designed for Ps5 and works very well. The boom mic is overkill but helpful if in an environment where overkill is needed I suppose. Sound is really good not getting too loud but has excellent quality. You can hear all the sounds clearly even sounds like ambience that you don't pick up on with normal stereo/TV speakers. Great head set, I definitely would recommend them. ... show more

Bought this headset because my old one is starting to have issues. However, their “smart mic” is very bad. It base boosts my voice making it incredibly painful and annoying for friends to hear me (that’s with the microphone attachment) and when the mic finally works properly it just sounds like your far away, that includes the built in mic on the headphones, unless you’re playing on a Pc then the issue would be if your talking too low. When you talk to low it becomes too hard for the mic to pick up and then your voice begins to break apart. Going back to the “smart mic” though, the only smart thing about it is if a noice constantly makes noise then the mic lowers that volume until you can’t hear it however, that doesn’t work when someone’s watching tv or when someone is talking in the background meaning it’s not very good for loud households unless say that volume is consistent and constant. That isn’t to say it isn’t all bad, it is surprisingly comfortable and it cancels noise fairly well so if mic quality isn’t a issue then it’s a good headset. I would not say it’s worth the money though. Also for some reason there’s multiple modes of sound, which has minor tweaks, I wouldn’t say it’s too special but yeah. ... show more

I saw a lot of negative reviews for this headset but still wanted to try it. I love skull candy to pieces and fact that it comes with a computer app for you to adjust everything is perfect. I've had no echo whatsoever and it work fine with the PS5 controller, yes I know the controller has a built in mic but no one wants to hear you button mashing or your nails clicking on the controller. Digging the side button for the mute function, use it often when my fur babies decide they want to sniff the microphone part. As for it breaking? Haven't had that happen yet and I've had it laying around or hanging on a headphone hook. And yes you have to charge it when you get it, takes about 2½ hours. ... show more
