Ive been an audio engineer/studio producer for many years and quality matters when it comes to hi fidelity audio. Ive had every brand, all price ranges. I heard good things about the 720s and 1080s, even the Evo. These happened to arrive on a day that I was in studio and many other producers got a chance to review them IRL. And we all agree, at this price point and even up to 500$ they are outstanding. They have found an extremely cleaver way to bring large level bass to standard size headphones. With the amount of bass you get you would think these would be 3x the size they are (considering air flow etc needed to move air around to cause the bass recoil). If these would have been priced at $499 , I still wouldn't have been disappointed. I've been obsessed with them since arrival. Watching movies, playing PS5, music etc, it conquers in all. And I haven't charged them yet and its been days. EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. And next level ANC. Just buy them, they are legit as you think and will not let you down. There is NOTHING like these out there, believe that. 10/10 ... show more

The crusher 720 headphones are amazing to wear and the battery last all day. Very durable, sounds like you in a Movie theater, fits just right on your head, controls are easy and headphones are adjustable to your needs. I recommend getting a pair of you don’t mind going without ANC

I’ve tried audiophile headphones before, but these are the best headphones for bass lovers! I have never seen a slider knob for bass on a pair of headphones and it is so much fun! I think there are subwoofers in each ear cup. Both my 84 y/o Mom and my younger doctor want them after I let them try them out! Update: the music kept cutting out and it seemed very positional. I made sure that Stay Aware was off, but that didn’t help. I went through the app to see what else I could turn off, and they even recommend turning off “Wear Detect” if “you are experiencing audio stream dropouts”, but you have to get to it to see that. I took off one star because I had to turn it off and now I can’t just take them off and they stop automatically. Also, just FYI, you can only turn on the THX Spatial Audio through the app. I hope this helps! ... show more

I have owned multiple Crusher headphones (including multiple Evos, ANC2 and 1080s- which I returned), and the Crusher 720 is the best Crusher I have tried. They have Evo-like sensory bass (that you can feel, unlike the 1080), and clean sound (where frequencies are distinguishable). Unlike the Evo, they have multi-device Bluetooth connectivity, so I can connect/use them on multiple devices simultaneously. ... show more

    • 14-Year Crusher LOVER: A 10% Improved Crusher Evo at a 3x Markup (Avoid)

I have owned almost every iteration of the Skullcandy Crusher line going back to the original wired pair in 2012, including the Wireless, Crusher Evo, Crusher ANC 1, and Crusher ANC 2. As someone who genuinely loves sensory bass and uses these headphones for thousands of hours, the Crusher 720 is an immense disappointment. Strip away the marketing hype, and the reality is simple: The Crusher 720 is essentially a 10% tweaked Crusher Evo sold at a nearly 300% markup. Here is why you should save your money: Miserable Midrange & Vocals: The midrange tuning on these is hollowed out and tinny. Vocals sound flat and metallic—reminiscent of an old gaming headset mic. On acoustic and piano tracks, the 720 completely lacks warm lower-mid resonance and instead pushes a harsh, artificial treble spike. Worse Than the 5-Year-Old Crusher ANC 1: I tested the 720 side-by-side against my heavily used Crusher ANC 1 (from 2020). The original ANC 1 completely destroys the 720 in vocal clarity, instrument separation, and overall soundstage—even with Active Noise Cancellation turned OFF. The drivers in the 720 feel cheap and thin by comparison. Butchered Bass Slider Taper: On the Crusher ANC 1 and ANC 2, setting the haptic bass slider to 30%–40% gives a massive, deep physical rumble. On the 720, the slider does almost nothing from 0% to 70%, forcing you to push it to 90%–100% just to get the same physical vibration. Lack of ANC & App Issues: Unlike the ANC 2, the 720 has no Active Noise Cancellation. Furthermore, turning on LE Audio in your phone's settings breaks the app connectivity completely. The Bottom Line: Do not fall for the sponsored or Vine review hype. If you want cheap, hollow-sounding haptic bass, buy the base Crusher Evos for a fraction of the price. If you want actual high-quality sound with hard-hitting haptics, stick with the Crusher ANC 2. The Crusher 720 is a massive step backward for the lineup. Bought my crusher evos 7 years ago in 2019, Used them nearly everyday, never let me down. Finally decided to retire the old things and ive been using the 720's for 3 days now. The bass blows the crusher evos out of the park! And the sound quality rocks, its a night and day difference. And the build quality has definitely improved drastically. Id be lying to you if i said they held up materially. By a year of regular use they definitely werent at pretty as they were a year ago. Im confident these will hold up better than the evos and will serve me well from years to come. ... show more

I’ve tested these side by side with my anc 2 in the gym and I prefer the anc 2. The 720s have less bass, overall loudness, and no anc but the sound quality is slightly better (not mind blowing) and less bass distortion. If you have the ANC 2, don’t upgrade. The anc isn’t much but you’ll notice the difference when wearing the two different headphones. If you don’t have the ANC 2 and don’t care about anc, pick these up on sale or used. ... show more

This is a out of the box test review. Not a long term use. Base is great do to the physical shaking technology. Certain songs where a little soft in sound when played( I'm using YouTube music app on android) But became better when I downloaded the Skullcandy app and took the hearing test.
