  • This shower curtain will change your life.
There is nothing to dislike about this shower curtain. It will change your life for the better. After you have installed this life-changing curtain in your shower, go and buy a lottery ticket. You will win. As you pass away the blissful hours in the shower, surrounded on one or more sides by the colorful, vibrant and enchanting map graphics, with warm or hot or cold or room-temperature water--or all of them during the same shower, your cares will drift away down the drain, or onto the floor if the drain is plugged, and you'll dream of the exotic places depicted on the curtain. Or the war zones--it just depends on whether you watched or listened to the news before you started to shower, I suppose. WARNING: If you want to know what the places are on the map that are labeled, you will have to either put the front of the map toward you in the shower, or learn to read backwards. This is not a problem, or the fault of the manufacturer, or of Amazon. Think of it as a way to improve yourself, as I do, by trying to make out the backward spelling of places like Vanuatu, which when you think about it, probably sounds equally exotic whether you read it forward or backwards (Utaunav). Enjoy your new curtain and do as I do: When the graphics start to wear off a bit, or when the soap scum builds up a bit much, buy a new one and start your dream all over again. One other thing. I like the curtain because it lets a lot of light in from the bathroom and you can see through a good portion of it in case someone with a knife comes in while you are showering and dreaming of how great your life is now since you got the new shower curtain with the map of the world on it. ... show more

  • Great Curtain, looks good and educational
When I was looking at this shower curtain there were two things in the reviews that concerned me: 1. The smell 2. Misspellings I decided to buy it anyway. Here's what I think about the two issues: 1. The smell - it does smell when you first open it. It is made of plastic after all. The bathroom I put it in is very small with only an exhaust fan for ventilation. I hung the curtain, ran the fan for an hour or so and then didn't really notice the smell anymore. For me, the smell should not be a deterrent to purchasing this curtain at all. In fact, I have purchased several clear liners over the years that smelled much worse and for far longer. 2. Misspellings - I have not read every word on this shower curtain but so far, I haven't noticed any of the misspellings. I really like this shower curtain. It's fun and educational. We have actually referred to it a few times when geography questions have come up. A few times I have sent one of my kids in to look at it to answer their own question. The font is not my favorite but it's fine. The colors are nice, bold but not obnoxious. The background is clear. The material is plastic, like a thick liner. Overall, a great purchase - especially for the money. I will buy this again. ... show more

  • Beautiful shower curtain, well made, NO ODOR
I love this shower curtain. I've always loved clear shower curtains that have big designs on them. We've had panda bears, giraffes, monkeys, when our children were young. But then we graduated to the The World. This is a fun shower curtain that goes with any decor. We've had several over the years that I've always purchased at Target. This time I thought I'd get this one because it was a good price and this newer version has the blue ocean of Antartica at the bottom which really livens it up. This one has a clear background and I really recommend that. I paired it with the Mildew Free PEVA 3 Gauge Shower Liner in Clear and added the Roller Shower Curtain Hooks and Rings in aqua and together they are a combination that can't be beat. It is well made, a good weight, but not too heavy. One thing to note, there is no odor. NONE. I read other reviews that talk about smell, but there is none with this one or the shower liner I bought with it. I especially recommend this and the Roller Shower curtain hooks. They look lovely together. I'm very happy with all three and highly recommend them. ... show more

  • Very Good Print - Seller is Cheap-
Good product, but you have to make holes for hooks (IT doesn't come with the hooks) cheap.

  • Super cute but outdated map
I love this because I just look all over the map picking where I want to travel (a girl can dream!) while I leave my conditioner in. The map is outdated for sure but still fun to get an idea of where cities are, etc.

  • Use as a map
We use this as a map on our study room wall. It is very colorful and fun. It is helpful to refer to it for geography questions my kids have. Too see through for us for a shower curtain.

  • Been buying this same shower curtain for the past 20 years
I bought this when my kids were young so they could get some geography in while showering! Now that they're adults, I still keep buying this because I just got used to it and it works well. It washes well to get rid of any soap scum or mildew, and when it gets too old i just buy a new one.

  • Looks great, doesn't smell, readable, heavy-duty.
This was on my wishlist for a looong time. I finally went ahead and got it, and I love it. For some reason I'm kind of a map freak to begin with, but I don't think I'm being biased. People are commenting that it reeks of a plastic smell when you first open it, but I didn't notice that smell to be any different from any other brand new plastic-product unboxing. I have a keen sense of smell and often notice various odors and fragrances before any of my friends do. I honestly can't recall noticing the smell after it was hung up. The font is easy to read and the map is accurate. It looks great. I have a cheap $4 white liner behind it. The plastic is kind of thick; when I push the curtain to one side, it doesn't fall neatly like a cloth curtain might, but it sometimes folds in weird places. I have to straighten it out by hand or give it a good shake sometimes when I'm opening the curtain and want it to fold neatly. But I'm gonna chock this up as a PLUS and just say it's heavy-duty, and that's why it doesn't always fold like a flimsy shower curtain would. ... show more
