This is a cute & fun spin on children's chalk! They've turned it into a nice gift idea for kids! It comes with good quality chalk in an easy-to-hold, wide shape and in a decent variety of colors (lots of greens for chalking pictures of grass/trees & lots of pinkish hues for girls.) I would've liked to see more blue chalks & purple chalk in this set though (since I have a boy who's favorite color is blue) but I had another set of Crayola chalks anyhow which had blues, purple, brown, black, etc in it. So you can always pair this set with another set of chalk if you wish to have more colors! :) It makes for a nice gift idea for Easter or for a Spring/Summer birthday, or just for anytime fun! The activity cards are thick, sturdy, & laminated to hold up to being used & can be easily wiped off, & fit handily into their own little pocket inside of the chalk container. The chalk container is pretty durable cardboard/paperboard with a good handle, so it should hold up to some use, but those packages usually end up tearing/getting beat up after awhile with repeated use, so then I just put the chalk into a pail with a handle once the container is no longer usable. The activities are a good variety of easy enough activities using shapes, colors, etc for toddlers, & some other activities that are more appropriate for older kids. So I like that the activity cards can work for a variety of ages! Many of the activities do seem a bit more geared towards younger children like toddlers to ages 4-6 (and of course an adult or an older sibling would have to explain the activities to children who are too young to read yet.) But my 9-year old son enjoyed doing a couple of the activities already that were more for older kids (like drawing a different scene for each of the seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter & so forth.) It's also a nice way for a parent to chalk with their child/children by making it a bit more interesting doing the activities together! :) We have other items from the "Skillmatics" company (board/card games, a holiday advent calendar, etc) & so far I've found all of their items we have to be cheerful, colorful, quality, & well made products! So this is yet another Skillmatics item that we're enjoying! :) My only suggestion/wish for this item were for it to have included more blue chalk & a purple chalk to have a fuller "rainbow" of colors. :)

Overall I think this is a really cute outdoor set. My chalk set did come, seemingly, with a missing color. It looks like the set is 3 packs, 3 colors in each, 3 of each color. We're missing a blue and got three greens. It's okay, but it does make it harder if you've got more than one little and everyone wants the blue. I also thought this was supposed to come with stencils and even see a review that references that, but either the listing was updated or I'm crazy, because they're not included and not on the box anywhere. I think the list price of $20 for sidewalk chalk and activity cards is a little overvalued, but if you can get this on sale, it's a pretty nice set and would make it a more value matched purchase!

This might be our new go-to gift for young kids (3-8). It really is something new that we’ve never seen before, in the best way! We loved looking through the activity cards and that each card has the ideal minimum age for it. Our favorite was the shape jump since she (4yo) could help draw the shapes all by herself in different colors. I’m not sure if it’s due to shipping or packaging or just quality of chalk, but about half of our chalk sticks did have broken pieces at the bottom. Thankfully the pieces were very small (maybe 1/3”) but it was consistent across the ones that broke. Since chalk is cheap and we have tons of it, that wasn’t really a concern for us. I think the activity cards are the most entertaining part of this, but I do love that it comes with a lot of chalk options and the box is actually reusable and portable, too!

This is a great little set of sidewalk chalk! The cards are made of a really sturdy, durable material that is easy to rinse off if needed. They're also linked on a ring. The games and ideas on them are fun and engaging for all ages. I do think the price is high. You are paying for the cards and the packaging. The chalk itself is good chalk, but you can get a similar quantity and quality for cheaper. I see this as a premium product that would make a great gift.

My almost six year old daughter loves decorating with colored chalk. I was happy to see this package that not only provides a nice variety of brightly colored chalk sticks, but it also includes an activity set to take their chalk activities to the next level!! Brilliant really. It comes with 18 chalk sticks AND a single ringed waterproofed activity card set! The activities range from easy to more difficult, and cover a variety of themes. I think this is great, as chalk art is fun but giving them something new to learn and develop their critical thinking skills all while having fun is great.

Our toddler had a GREAT time with these, and there were not breaking or chipping. They held up to the abuse of a little one on rough road and did not stain any clothing. The colors were as expected on the chalk, that kind of muted coloring, but overall they were really a pleasant surprise and worked well despite the abuse. They also washed off easily with a little bit of a leftover water bottle. Overall we would highly recommend these and we will get more, and we'd say they make a fantastic gift. Awesome product!

This is a cute chalk set. The box includes 18 pieces of chalk and activity cards attached on a ring. That's helpful to keep them together so they don't get lost. They're made a type of plastic that will resist getting dirty, they seem pretty durable. Our daughter loves to play outside and she is really enjoying them.
