These pens are so neat. They look like crayons but the quality is so much better and the shimmer is beautiful! You can smudge the colors with your fingers for a different effect. My daughter loves them, and I wish I had had those kind of pens when I was a kid! Would definitely recommend!

Very attractive colors that you can use to color light or darker hues. Rubbing a crayon on a pallet and using a drop of water and mixing it gives you a very nice coverage and you’re painting and you can make it more or less colorful as you wish. Unique hues all compliment each other.

I didn't know until recently that watercolor crayons were even a thing. But these are a lot of fun to use and sparkly to boot! The only issue is that the tips are very wide, even for a crayon really. And the body of the crayon is wide enough too that it can be hard to see what the tip is doing. You can't do much precision coloring or drawing with these. Now, crayons aren't the best for tiny detail anyways, and with watercolor crayons you are going to be doing some blending, of course. Still, I would have preferred a bit more control and visibility as I am drawing with them, to be able to control where I lay down color. ... show more

I figured these were like fancy crayons, but wow, they are so cool. They colored well and blended really nicely. These are not for detail work, but for broad coloring or backgrounds they would be cool. I blended with both my finger and water. Adding more water makes them blend even nicer (but be careful as that can tear thin paper), I use 100 lb cardstock. I feel these will be a nice addition to the watercolor pencils and drawing pens. They have a neat sheen as well, not sure if you can see it in the photo, but it is there. ... show more

The colors are beautiful! We bought these and another brand. The other brand dries quickly, no mess. These are horribly messy. Chunks come off and are on my kids clothes, floor, stuck in my carpet, fall off the drawings, etc. Of course, the return window was 60 days and I cannot get my $17 back. Purchased this product for my kids in the age range of 1.5 yrs to 8 yrs and we are very pleased. The colors are very vibrant, the sparkle is metallic and not glittery and the variety of colors is great. It is easy to grip for all.
