This is a great, simple craft kit which satisfies my 4 year old daughter's desire to see things with rainbows and unicorns. The idea that this would be something that would hold the interest of a 7 year old or even a 6 year old is... dubious. The three skill levels are just the ability to cut in a direction other than straight which, just because a 7 year old can do that, doesn't mean they will be entertained by that. The safety scissors are nice, the glue is terrible, the paper is very good.

The pages are a little advanced and intricate for true first time scissor users. But the quality is excellent and would be great for a kiddo once they have a little scissor control. The paper was thick and prints were well done. I like how it included the book; 2 pairs of scissors, and a glue stick. The box can be reclosed which is nice for storage. The scissors are better than some other safety scissors. You do have to hold the paper at the right angle but with my help and some practice my 3 year olds were able to get the hang of it themselves. This was our second attempt at scissors and for my smaller 3 year old, the last pair of kids scissors was too big for her hand and she couldn't get it but with these scissors they were the right size for her small hands and they have the little part you flip to make them spring back open which helped her learn how to open and close them. The scissors themselves and pages themselves are good quality, just the activities are a little advanced for a freshly turned 3 year old to do without help. Overall though, very happy with this set

These are super cute and easy to understand. We are a homeschool family and these will be perfect to add to the curriculum. The pages are bright and colorful and easy for kids to understand. The thing I love is that it came with two sets of scissors that have a lever that can be folded in or out and pushes the scissors back open. This helps young kids with learning to use scissors as most struggle to pull them back open after each cut. The scissors alone are worth it in my opinion so all of it together is a good value. The nice thing about the book is that the activities don’t make a ton of paper scraps. Most of them have the kid cut out a shape and glue it to the main photo. This may also be a helpful item for individuals in occupational therapy or a rehabilitation program. It gets your brain and hands working together.

I've been homeschooling my son for preschool and I knew we would need to start working with scissors soon. This set was perfect for our needs. The set includes the book itself, two scissors and a glue stick. I like how the book is broken down into three levels with multiple activities at each level allowing the child to progress at their own pace. The pages are slightly thicker than your average printer paper. The designs are fun with bold colors. My favorite part is that the book is perforated so other than tearing the page out there is no prep involved on my end. Since the child progresses over time, this book will last a while as each level is completed. This is a nice set and would make a great gift for preschoolers.

What a great kit for scissor skills! Each page is bright and colorful, yet different. There are multiple different kinds of scissor skills applied in the book. The kit also includes 2 plastic safety scissors. They work well on cardstock and thicker paper, but if your child is old enough for real scissors, those might be preferred. The kit also includes a glue stick as some of the pages are also glueing various pieces together. For sure can be used with a 3 year old as long as an adult is assisting, and my almost 5 year old can do the pages with very little assistance other than instructions. Great for teaching or just a rainy day craft. Highly recommend.

My 4 year old won't stop cutting stuff up. Any piece of paper, plastic, etc. She just loves to cut things. I got her this little craft book. It's cute and has some fun little 'crafts'. You get a pad of about 25 sheets of medium weight paper. They are full color with cute graphics. You get a glue stick and two pairs of plastic scissors with no blades. But they will cut paper. Each page asks you to cut, fold, glue or some combination to make a little craft. You won't do much with them and probably it will all end up in the recycling bin soon after completing it. But it's fun for younger kids to cut on the lines. It's a bit expensive for what it is - you could probably just cut up an old coloring book or junk mail. But I like the fact that it feels like a craft rather than just randomly cutting paper. A good quiet time activity at the kitchen table.

This is actually a really nice little workbook! Lots of pages, colors, and different crafts. It comes with two pairs of safety scissors and a glue stick. It’s good quality with thicker paper. My three-year-old has done a few of the Level 1 projects, and he’s been able to do them successfully with some guidance. He loves it! I’ll be looking into more of their products in the future.

My 4 year old has had some scissor time, but is definitely not a pro yet. I loved how this is set up in 3 levels (level 1=straight line activities). It was also nice it came with two scissors so I could model what to do when holding the scissors for him. Paper quality is nice. The scissors do not have blades, but cut really well.
