These are super cute and easy to understand. We are a homeschool family and these will be perfect to add to the curriculum. The pages are bright and colorful and easy for kids to understand. The thing I love is that it came with two sets of scissors that have a lever that can be folded in or out and pushes the scissors back open. This helps young kids with learning to use scissors as most struggle to pull them back open after each cut. The scissors alone are worth it in my opinion so all of it together is a good value. The nice thing about the book is that the activities don’t make a ton of paper scraps. Most of them have the kid cut out a shape and glue it to the main photo. My 4 year old won't stop cutting stuff up. Any piece of paper, plastic, etc. She just loves to cut things. I got her this little craft book. It's cute and has some fun little 'crafts'. You get a pad of about 25 sheets of medium weight paper. They are full color with cute graphics. You get a glue stick and two pairs of plastic scissors with no blades. But they will cut paper. Each page asks you to cut, fold, glue or some combination to make a little craft. You won't do much with them and probably it will all end up in the recycling bin soon after completing it. But it's fun for younger kids to cut on the lines. It's a bit expensive for what it is - you could probably just cut up an old coloring book or junk mail. What a great kit for scissor skills! Each page is bright and colorful, yet different. There are multiple different kinds of scissor skills applied in the book. The kit also includes 2 plastic safety scissors. They work well on cardstock and thicker paper, but if your child is old enough for real scissors, those might be preferred. The kit also includes a glue stick as some of the pages are also glueing various pieces together. For sure can be used with a 3 year old as long as an adult is assisting, and my almost 5 year old can do the pages with very little assistance other than instructions. My 5 year old has been wanting to use scissors and this has been perfect for him to safely learn how. This book comes with different sheets that can be used for cutting, and glueing that turn into cute little artwork. The skill level is represented on the pages as level 1,2,&3 and progressively gets more complicated as you go on. The media could not be loaded. I got this kit for my 3-year-old as fine motor practice. I had moderate expectations but was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this kit. The scissors are safe and yet effective. The value of this kit is high relative to price (compared to purchasing scissors and an activity book separately). It arrived in a beautiful box that would work quite well as a gift. My favorite aspect is that each page smoothly tears out as a separate activity. I can present them in order of complexity and interest to my child as he grows rather than giving him the whole book at once. I'm planning to add this to my rotation of activities I have set up for him for when he gets back from daycare and I need a bit of quiet time to cook dinner.
