Description
The SKIL PWR CORE 20 Brushless 20V 1/2-inch Mid-Torque Impact Wrench packs 480 foot-pounds of fastening torque, 800 foot-pounds of breakaway torque in Nut Busting Mode to remove rusted nuts and bolts, and up to 2,600 IPM for tough driving applications. This cordless impact wrench features a 1/2-inch square anvil with a friction ring for quick and easy socket changes, and its digital brushless motor combined with three-speed selection provides high-performance power and precise control. Use Reverse Control Mode to stop rotation and impact in seconds once a fastener is loosened. This electric impact wrench features a Halo Light that provides 5X more light than common LEDs and reduces shadows. The kit includes the 20V 1/2-inch impact wrench, a PWR CORE 20 4.0Ah lithium-ion battery, and an auto PWR JUMP charger.

Bang for the buck impact wrench

This impact wrench is worth the price but there are some drawbacks; It is heavy and it is big. I got it to do a particular job (removing an overrunning alternator pulley from a QR20 alternator). Why Nissan choose to make the pulley so difficult to remove I can only guess. The impact tool does seem violent and it is...I am afraid to set this thing to full kill.

Happy with its power

What a workhorse of an impact wrench; it makes short work out of 99% of the things I do. If I ever need something more compact I'll just use my 3/8 Skil impact wrench for those tight spaces. Glad to have them both in my army of tools. These are brushless and very strong according to YouTube testing and my personal use. Skil shares it's DNA with the FLEX brand. Amazing ring light. Truly above everyone else here. No exceptions. Fantastic ergonomic handle/trigger position.

Inexpensive and impressive.

I bought this 1/2 inch impact almost 2 years ago and have nothing but good things to say about it. I’ve beaten this and it continues to work. I work in heavy machinery/ maintenance so it’s common to destroy tools. This thing will happily break loose a 1 1/2 nut/bolt all day long. I recently dropped it about 15 feet off a truck and it still rips but the light no longer works.

Great entry level impact at a great price

Update: 2 months later the Tool has stopped working. Battery works fine but the tool just blinks and doesnt want to spin or do anything. Amazon wont refund the item. waiting to see if Skil to see if theyll honor the warranty. First of all this impact is a great value compared to the competition . The ONLY issue I have with this impact is the lack of power if a fastener is over torqued. I use this only for car lug nuts and the only time I’ve ran into it not being able to take one off is because it was torqued to about 280ftlbs and it just couldn’t take it off. Battery life is pretty good. Lasts me all day. I average about 15-20 cars per day and so taking that many wheels off it’s pretty impressive . I’d definitely think of getting a second battery tho. Overall I’m happy with it .
