After waiting 4 days for Amazon to deliver, I received a re-boxed unit that had been partially assembled, then returned. After looking for apparently-missing hardware, I realized it was a return because the hardware was already attached. Following one of the most poorly written instruction manuals I've ever read, I finally got it up and running. The router is good -- solidly built with nice features like the variable-speed control, and variable cutter height adjustment, and the quick detachment, which is nice when attached to the table. What sold me on this unit was the storage containers built into the legs; it comes with a couple cheap plastic shelves that nowhere begins to house my collection of bits, so I replaced them with custom made ones. Two things keep this from being described as a "great" unit. As a retired industrial designer, who came up with the placement of the exhaust port on the router so it is directly against the power cord of the switch unit? No room to attach a vaccuum hose! Also, leaving all the open holes in the storage container legs, may save pennies worth of plastic, but it allows all the dust and chips that a router creates to enter the cabinet, so you have to clean it out after every use. I guess this is the best you get with a "budget unit". ... show more

I just started using it and it works very well. I think it will work great for building drawers and other things I make. I already have a Skil Router so hookup was pretty easy! The quality looks very good of the table.

I have other routers from Bosch, MW, and this one is one of the best since it helps you select the correct speed for the job and avoid wood burns and mishaps. Get it while you can!
