Description

The 10” dual bevel sliding miter saw is powered by a 15-Amp motor that drives 4,800 RPM, delivering extended power and durability. This miter saw features a horizontal grip handle with a center located safety trigger for left- or right-handed use. The 9 detents on the stainless-steel miter plate and 11 miter locations allows for 50-degree cuts left or right, with 11 positive stop positions at commonly used angles. The tool comes equipped with a cam miter lock knob for repeatable accuracy, durability, and easy adjustments, while the tall sliding fences support 4-1/2” base molding vertically, and 6-1/4” crown molding vertically nested. The LED Shadow Line provides high precision cuts with greater accuracy than traditional lasers, while the lightweight design and built-in carrying handle provide convenience and portability. The quick work clamp quickly secures materials for safer cutting.

I‘ve wanted to buy a nice power miter saw for many years. I finally decided to do it and researched the various brands and types. I settled on this compound miter saw from Skil Saw after carefully weighing the features and reviews against the competition. I believe I made the best choice. It is a very sturdy piece of equipment with great features. The engineering shows a lot of careful planning. Controls and adjustments are conveniently and safely located. Operation is very intuitive and since I’m a beginner, I really appreciate this. I‘ve used it several times for simple cuts and so far, I couldn’t be more pleased. I feel confident cutting with it by following the instructions carefully. The cuts are precise and accurate. If I had to find a fault, it would be that it is kind of messy. The collection bag doesn‘t seem to collect much of the saw dust while cutting and it ends up all over the machine. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but clean up isn‘t that difficult. The price was super good and I bought it as a package with a nice stand that seems custom made for mounting this saw. I look forward to many years of reliable service from this saw. Purchased to replace an old Delta miter saw that had provided years of good service. The MS-6305-00 is a very nice saw. The dual-bevel sliding functionality is a big improvement over the old Delta. The built-in light and blade position indicators are very helpful and useful. So far there are a couple of downsides. One is that the adjustment screw that limits the forward and back travel tends to move under vibration and needs to be readjusted frequently (need to figure out a fix for that - maybe some non-permanent thread locker or a locking nut). The other is regarding the very useful material clamp that is included and works well - was hoping to buy another one for the other side of the saw but they are apparently no longer available. Given the feature set, the Skil MS6305-00 is a bargain and an excellent value vs. other miter saws with similar feature sets. Highly recommended. ... show more

I love this Skill 10” Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw! It’s a great tool! BUT, it has a big footprint! It needs a lot of space. And it’s heavy. Even heavier when attached to the stand I bought to mount it on. I do wish it did abetter job of collecting sawdust that comes off the blade and out the rear port. I attach my shopvac but the saw still puts out a lot of sawdust past the sides of the vacuum dust collector. I haven’t found a solution for that yet. I use the ghost line all the time that the saw can project to show where the blade will cut. This is a great feature. I just forget to shut it off. I wish that rocker switch could be mounted someplace easier to see. I’m a DIY’r and I use this tool almost every week. I have set the saw & stand on furniture moving cups with wheels so I can move it around my shop. I just wish those wheeled cups had a lock so I could lock them in place to work. ... show more

This thing is FANTASTIC. Its 15-amp motor delivers up to 4,800 RPM, allowing for quick and detailed cuts. The dual bevel feature enables cuts at 48° and 45° to the left, and 0° and 45° to the right, with four positive stop positions, providing versatility for various cutting needs. It came accurate out of the box, no adjustment was needed (however it’s always recommended to check and make sure it’s properly adjusted). The shadow line is sweet and a welcome addition at this price. I recommend a miter saw stand for it, but you can get by using it on a desk if necessary. I’m an amateur DIY guy and finally decided to get a miter saw after doing all my cuts with a circular saw for a long time. I shopped around a lot before I decided to buy this and I’m completely happy with it. Easy assembly out of the box. Easy to make adjustments. I’m very impressed with the shadow line that marks the path of the blade on the piece being cut. I recommend adding some zero clearance tape which reduces rip out and keeps debris from falling into the base. The little dust collection bag is kind of a joke and it blows dust everywhere, but that seems common for miter saws across the board.
