Review after 75 Miles of Hiking

Below is my review after 75 miles of hiking. For context, I've owned these boots for a few months, and all of my hiking was done in the San Tan mountains of Arizona. The trails there are a mixture of hard-packed dirt, rocky sections, sand, and steep rocky inclines with loose sand and gravel (e.g. Goldmine Mountain). Grip: 5/5 At first, looking at the photos in the listing, I wasn't sure about the grip, but the boots have done well on rocky inclines as well as sections with loose sand and gravel. Ventilation/Cooling: Neutral. I hike in Arizona where temps are normally on the warmer side. I haven't really noticed a difference in this category in the different boots I have owned. No complaints. Durability: 4/5 Overall they are holding up well. I'm not concerned about stepping on jagged/spiked rocks as the boots seem to be fairly tough, and the sides and laces are solid. There is a small section where the sole is starting to separate as shown in the photo, which seems premature, but otherwise the boots have been solid. Weight: Neutral. The boots are light and durable at the same time. No complaints. Comfort: 5/5 My goal with hiking boots is to not have to think about them when hiking, whether that means being concerned about durability, or having pinch points that poke into my feet. These boots are very comfortable, and don't hurt my feet at all. Quality: 4.5/5 Other than the small separation noted above, the boots are holding up very well after hiking many rocky trails. The tread and grip are great, and the overall construction of the materials, lace holes and laces appears to be high quality with no issues so far. The bottom line is that I have full confidence in these boots, and if this same model is available when my current boots wear out, I would buy the exact same boots again. Hopefully this information is helpful to others.

The fit is good, true to size. But the are very stiff, not flexible. Waterproof is unknown, no rain in months. Durability is also an unknown. They are hot, feet stay sweaty while wearing these boots. Got some rain today, seem to be water resistant. Over a month of wearing these boots daily, they are still stiff but are more comfortable.

Not the best, Very light duty

Started out strong, but disappointed in the end. Wore these almost daily since ordering them last July. They were great out of the box and very comfortable. My first complaint is the laces. They have zero grip so unless I double knotted them, they would come untied virtually every time I would wear them. The waterproof membrane inside began to breakdown as well as the transition between the upper and the side of the tread. After a while, that walking on a cloud that I was accustomed to from Sketchers over the years degraded to the point of ordering inserts to be able to wear them. I think these are fine for occasional use and light hiking. A daily work/hiking boot, this is not

These are the best fitting hiking shoes I've ever owned! Sketchers with their thick foam insoles are the only foot ware comfortable on me. I appreciate that sketchers make these high tops for ankle support and stability. I sure hope they keep making them and don't change them!
