It is not often these days when you pick up the package off your doorstep that your instant response is, " Wow. This feels really substantial....... like the 'old days' of getting products." The package had heft to it. It FELT solid. It was actually made of METAL! Not flimsy thin junky metal. Opening the package did not disappoint. In fact, the quality of the build and the finishing all spoke to craftsmanship and solid design. This is high-quality work. It'd probably hold up an elephant. (I'm speaking here as a lifelong professional craftsman, with work in museums across the globe from my home country.) Assembly required no directions.....and there were none. Totally intuitive. And everything worked as intended. It probably took a solid minute and a half to set up, if that. I adjusted the width to the size of the unit I wanted to mount on it (A TC Icon Series Docking Bay), and it worked perfectly first time. You can't really SEE this unit in the picture. Look for the two tiny tabs at the bottom between the fader desk unit and the TC unit. But that is the nature of this kind of product. It is the "unsung hero" behind the scenes making everything work. The TC unit now sits solidly at the perfect angle to work on the mixing desk. It replaces a jury-rigged 2x4 arrangement that was never stable and I was always fiddling with. Product Quality and Function.

Finally... a manufacturer decided to create a stand, steel I might add, not plastic, not wood. I have a Solar 42n synth, not cheep. I needed a stand to "safely" and "securely" support it. The stand is very rigid and does not flex. Stability is at the top of the list. Totally adjustable. I highly recommend this stand for peace of mind. Heavy and sturdy

Worked well with my mackie fx v3 12 channel mixer. Had to put it on shortest setting so it would hold it. It was almost too big for this mixer. I love the stand and it will work fine for my set up.

Awkward fit for MPC One G2

I thought I'd share my first impressions real quick before I search for a custom desktop solution. First of all this is a nice stand. It's sturdy and built well. Everything seems to work and there's nothing defective with it but I can't recommend it for the Akai Mpc One Gen 2. Even with it adjusted to the narrowest point it barely holds the Mpc's edge. The Mpc has screws along the bottom edge where it sits on the stand causing it to sit uneven and rock awkwardly. Also, it's not a big deal, but I think while I was trying to adjust things I may have lost one of the loose rubber feet that slide onto the bottom of the stand. It seems like a nice stand and I'm going to keep it for a different setup but not the Mpc One G2. ... show more

Perfect for the producer in your life!

The stand is worth the money. It’s metal but still light and breaks down to be portable. It is incredibly easy to put together even without instructions. My fiancé uses it to prop up his MPC Live 2 and found that he could adjust the stand to fit his needs perfectly. He also uses it for his different mini keyboards and changes the size accordingly, it was a loved gift! ... show more

I bought this for my Electron Digitakt which lives on my desk. First thing I noticed is that it's freakin' heavy... seems to be very well made. The column that connects from each side is adjustable and gets locked down once you figure out how wide you want the stand to be. It has plastic feet to protect the surface, but I still want to put some felt pads under it because my desk is wood and I don't want to take any chances.
