  • Great boots!
Size: 10 Color: Bbk
I have bought several high dollar, high brand boots in the past. These boots by far are very comfy, warm, durable, and waterproof. Now i dont mean walking through puddles all day, but walking in wet grass, an inch or two of snow, and rain, it does the job well. Im a mail carrier and am on my feet all day walking at least 10 miles a day. GREAT BOOTS!!! ... show more

  • NOT 100% LEATHER. FALSE ADVERTISING!!!
Size: 11 Color: Dkbr
This boot is made with 100% "imitation leather" (plastic). Not one bit of real leather anywhere on this boot! The 1st bullet point is inaccurate and misleading. NOTE that other sellers of this boot on Amazon do not claim it is 100% leather. This type of false advertising should not be tolerated on Amazon!!! ... show more

  • My last Review on these Skechers hiking boots...
Size: 11 Color: Dark Brown 1
My last review on these hiking boots: After a year hiking in these boots, the quality of the front of the rubber toe cap cover has chipped, torn off...I have to lower the ratings to 2 stars. Was hoping it would be a more serious pair of hiking boots. Hope Skechers will redesign their hiking boots to be tougher. My Third Review: A Year Later, I've had these Skechers Relment-Traven Hiking boot for a whole year of various hiking terraines and recently winter hiking. They're showing some wear and tear now, but I still consider these very comfortable boots for hiking...I tell myself while on the trails, boy, these are so comfortable! I discover winter hiking in the snow with micro-spikes and love it. But unfortunately these are not winter hiking boots. You can tell from the pictures, the front rubber areas of the boots are tearing and pieces are chipped away. Hiked in 6-8 " of snow, 4-5 miles, and my feet has stayed dried. I did waterproof the boots with Nikwax Fabric & Leather Proof. And the bottom soles of the boots showed no real wear after a year's worth of hiking. I will continue wearing these boots through the winter and hope they will hold up for the early Spring muddy hikes. I think next winter, I will look into a pair of "real" winter hiking boots. I still recommend these boots and I will reorder these when the time comes. My second review: I've had these hiking boots now for 4 months and hiked over 160 miles with them and they are holding up really well. My feet feels so comfortable with them on and secured, no blisters at all after a long hike. I'm a serious day hiker, hiking three times a week. The trails in CT state parks are very rocky trails (lots of ups and downs trails), gravelly, very wet & slippery in the Spring and these boots are handling the trails really well and keeping my feet dry. The bottom treads show very little ware, if any. These hiking boots were put through the test, I can now confidently recommend these hiking boots with enthusiasm! ...................................................................... I wear a men's size 11 shoes in general with no special feet issues, as long as I don't get any blisters. I was comparing this pair of hiking boot with Columbia and Timberline, all within my price range, under $70. All three boots had about the same positive reviews (4+stars) and all also had negative reviews. I just don't think I need to spend $90 to $100+ for a good pair of hiking boot. Also the expensive hiking boots had similar reviews, both positive and negatives star ratings...and these boots were over $100. So I only compare the three brands, and I'm glad I choose the Sketcher hiking boot. Been on a few winter (no snow, just muddy) hikes in CT and they were comfortable and no blisters after! But I have no idea if they are waterproof or not...been trekking through mud so far. If you are looking for a pair of good quality and affordable hiking boots that's under $70, I highly recommend these pair hiking boot. ... show more

  • Warm, comfy and lightweight at a nice price
Size: 11.5 Color: Dark Brown 1
Looked at lots of boots online before deciding to buy these and I'm very happy with them so far. Great for winter hiking. Not as much insulation as some of the more hardcore winter boots, but I wanted something that would be good for more than just cold snowy winter days. Also a great deal at just over $60. A lot of the other boots I checked out were in the 100-130 range. I've had them for a couple weeks now and they've done great walking the dog, going on hikes in the snow, and shoveling the driveway. I'm surprised at how warm they are. I was out shoveling the driveway with temps in the teens for about an hour and my feet didn't get cold. Not sure how they would do for standing still, but for hiking, outdoor chores etc they have kept my feet warm with just regular socks when I'm moving around. I haven't really tested how waterproof they are. The stay dry inside when the snow melts on the outside but I haven't walked through any water to really test the limits of the waterproof lining. Fit: I wear an 11 in Adidas for reference. The 11s I got were a little bit short. My toes were not right up against the end but pretty close so I went with 11.5. With 11.5 the length was great, enough room so I could wear some thick socks if needed. Maybe a hair wide, but I have narrow feet. About my only criticism is there's not much of an arch. However with the memory foam insoles and break-in process, the bottom is starting to form to the contour of my feet. Will see about reliability. I only use them for walking the dog, outdoor chores and hiking. What I'd consider moderate to light use, and they will most likely be stored away for the warmer months. Hoping I can get a couple years out of them, we shall see.... ... show more

  • Stable and comfortable.
Size: 11.5 Color: Bbk
I ordered my actual size and the boots fit well. They were fairly comfortable at first wearing, maybe a little stiff at the ankle, but became more comfortable within a few days of wearing them all day. I bought these for light trekking and hiking in India and Nepal. They worked perfectly for this purpose, offering good stability on uneven trails. I was able to walk for longer distances than with either of my last two pairs of boots. I would classify these as medium-weight hikers, not light. They have a heft to them, which is absolutely necessary for hikes of more than three hours. I was able to walk all day before my feet got tired. Very impressed with the design and build quality. I'll update my review after a year. ... show more
