  • Unexpectedly Comfortable
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black
I bought these for my daughter who is on her large (stinky) feet all day at a nationwide retail hardware store. (Would it kill them to let their employees have stools - it's not a marathon, after all!) She suffers from throbbing, burning, sometimes stinging or what she describes "electrical shocks" pain to her heels bilaterally that has persisted for over a year. Personally, I think she has plantar fasciitis but, of course, she refuses to get herself checked out...but I digress. She has tried numerous brands/types of WAY more expensive shoes over the past year along with over-the-counter inserts - all to no avail. Finally, she's got some relief! She says the pain has diminished significantly -- so much so that she asked me to order her another pair for back-up (which I will). I'm glad she's found some comfort and she's glad to not be in pain. ... show more

  • The Single Most Painful Shoes I've Ever Put On My Feet
Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Black
The first thing I noticed when I pulled these out of the box is that they're apparently slip-ons, with elastic laces in a loop rather than conventional laces. Which is not a big deal, though they're annoying to get onto your feet. The real problem I have with these is that they put the arch support on the outside edge of the foot rather than the inside - which makes these extremely uncomfortable straight out of the chute. Given that it's 2023 and we know a lot about foot anatomy it is a real head-scratcher as to why any manufacturer would build a shoe sole this way, but... that's the way it is with these. Arch supports on the wrong side of the feet. Weird. Ordinarily I'd have returned these immediately - and make no mistake, I will not be buying them again - but I'm keeping them for two reasons: 1. My current work shoes are pretty trashed and I don't have time to mess with sending them back and looking for something else, and 2. I wear a pair of orthotics that my podiatrist laser-contoured for my feet, so with those installed the shoes are a strange fit but usable. I will still have to cut off the elastic-loop laces (another inexplicable design decision) and replace them with normal laces - something I don't care to have to do - and will have to hope they don't become feet-killers after umpty hours on the job. In which case I'll have to consider this as $65 wasted and shop for something else anyway. For the time being I'll have to wait and see. _/ _/ _/ _/ \_ \_ \_ \_ N.B. - The following is a June 4th addendum to my initial May 29th review (above,) after having worn these for a couple of work days: Yes, I had to toss these in the garbage after all because they are not shoes, they are podiatric pain-inducers. In addition to the weirdness of placing the arch supports on the wrong sides of the soles, these shoes do not have a standard tongue - as in: the two sides of the upper are connected only by the laces, with an independent tongue extending backward from the toe box in the gap between those two sides. Instead the sides and "tongue" form a kind of continuous elastic band that goes over your instep and squeezes your foot. Hard. Despite the fact that the size I selected was "Wide" and in my normal size, this weird elastic tube - whose tension cannot be altered - is so tight that it cuts off blood circulation to your entire foot. So I got a pair of scissors and cut along each side of what should've been a tongue to begin with, so as to turn the shoe into a conventional side - tongue - side structure. Which helped a little, but since the sides of the upper are designed as what is basically a glorified sock with a sole attached beneath it, it's a complete mess and the foot pain they create, even after just a few minutes, is still intolerable. At the bottom of a duffel bag of gym stuff I keep at my desk at work I had a pair of ancient Airwalk walking sneakers that I bought in Asia for something like $20 a few years back. I pulled my orthotics out of these horrid Skechers Cessnock things, jammed them into the Airwalks, and the difference was night-and-day even as cheap and basic as the Airwalks are. I'm pretty sure I have some old running shoes in storage somewhere that are a little more durable and will have to do from here on out. The Skechers Cessnocks went into the dumpster, a $65 lesson at the receiving end of design ineptitude, and I'm done buying shoes for awhile, I think. This whole experience has been strange because my previous work shoes were Skechers' "Cankton U" model and they fit just fine and lasted me a couple of years - they were just prohibitively heavy. So I can only assume that Skechers Inc is suffering from some serious consistency problems in both design and quality. ... show more

  • How though
Size: 9.5 Color: Black
Sturdy and comfortably fits size as expected, but seems to have no padding at all for the ball of the foot. Only the heel. Not sure how that's a standing-all-day work shoe. The relaxed fit might actually allow for an orthodic to fit?

  • Best anti slip I’ve had in a shoe
Size: 9 Color: Black
I work in a kitchen and people with street shoes are always shuffling around when the mop comes out at the end of the night. I ran and tried to slide across the mopped floor as a test and I nearly face planted because the shoes immediately stuck and didn’t slide more than a couple inches! I can walk around wet floors with confidence in these ... show more

  • Very comfortable
Size: 13 Wide Color: Black
I wear a 13w, this shoe is very comfortable. The nonslip sole is good and they seem to last longer than the other shoes I've had such as shoes for crews, ect. Everyone is different but these seem to be a really good shoe for the price. I also like not having to mess with laces as these are slide in . ... show more

  • PERFECT FOR BARTENDING!!!! Buy These NOW!
Size: 12 Wide Color: Black
I bartend at the theme parks in Orlando and average 10 miles plus a day, 6 days a week. I have burned through three different pairs of shoes in the past three months, until I found these! The conditions I am in are high volume wet conditions, and my feet stay perfectly dry in these shoes. The soles have the perfect height to keep the shoe dry, without being bulky preventing one from tripping over their own feet. I have a wide flat foot, and these shoes have PLENTY of room in them. I wear a 12W and order the same in these. When I first put them on, they feel really loose which caused concern, but after wearing them a few days, I actually like the feel of the “looseness” as there are ZERO pressure points on my feet with these shoes, and they are snug enough that blisters do not form. The toe box feels longer than a 12, but like I just stated, my feet do not slide in the shoes and no blisters form. I AM IN LOVE WITH THESE WORK SHOES The shoes actually look great as well. I find myself throwing them on when heading out for casual fun too. I NEVER leave reviews, but decided to in hopes others may see this and helps them buy these shoes for the same relief. Stay comfortable my friends ... show more

  • Affordable, stylish and comfortable
Size: 12 Color: Black
These are a must for the service industry. Add some memory foam inserts and these are amazing. The ones that come in them are not so good. That's my only complaint about these shoes.

  • Almost perfect!
Size: 9.5 Color: Black
Can be a bit hard on the heel of the foot and the included insoles peel and damage easily This can be remedied by 3rd party insoles like dr scholls and such, but besides that 1 very minor complaint the shoes are really good some of the best that sketchers has ever made in fact.
