I wouldn't say I'm an audiophile, but I'm pretty picky when it comes to sound quality. Got 2 of these for my son's 350z and the bass is more than adequate. You'll feel it and hear it from 2 blocks away. As bass heads, we always want more, but if these are in your budget, you won't be disappointed. Couple it with their matching monoblock and I promise you'll be happy. Ive had their monoblock in my truck for 3 years and have had zero issues. Went into this purchase with an open mind, as I have never heard a Skar sub before. Had two friends recommended this to replace a crappy RF P2D4-10 I was suffering with. Well, they were right. Not only did it arrive in two days (ordered Sat night, received Mon), but it blows the RF sound quality out of the water. It gets down low and is very loud for a 10. Can't wait to see what it can do after break in. I have this running off an older Kicker ZX 750.1 @ just under half gain (for break in), should be able to go 3/4 afterwards (TBD). In short, these things are definitely worth the $$ Note: I had to cut the opening in the enclosure bigger to accommodate this sub's bigger mounting diameter, and this thing is HEAVY. NOTE #2: These NEED a 2.0 ft3 ported box, sound just is not right in a smaller enclosure. Update after over a year beating on this thing (more it beating me up). Still does not fail to impress! Even upgraded the amp to a Kicker KX 1600.1 and it LOVES the power, only problem now..... I need a second battery to run that amp! Never in my life did I think I would have to run a second battery on a system with only 1 10" sub in it, but here I am..... LOL They're so good, my friend that is a subwoofer snob just bought one to replace his 2 12's he thought were so amazing. ... show more

Loud clean bass perfect for my single cab silverado. 1 10" sub was enough to cover the sound of my v8, mud tires, AND even the pesky squeaking u joints I've been procrastinating to fix.

Just like the title states, I can’t drive with my kid anymore. He had one 10” Skar sub and I wired it to 2ohm more then enough bass for me. He was driving it with a 1200w kicker amp. He went to a car meet and seen some of the other systems out there and came home and started the upgrade. Decided to go with 2 Skar 10” 1500w subs with a Skar 2 10” ported box. I wired it to 1ohm to his new 1800w kicker amp. Now I can’t go in his car anymore you can hear him 3 blocks away. There is so much bass that the pounding in the chest takes your breath away. He loves it and now inspired his friends to do the same to their cars. To bad there’s not a referral program from skar audio. ... show more

Coming from 2 Alpine R-W12D4 a few years ago, this sub hits. I have one in a sealed 1.5sqft box and it's only been tested a few times. It hits real low on 800rms from my Pioneer GM-D9701 paired with a kinetic 1200w battery and sounds super clean. All in all it's a solid sub with great value. I've had this subwoofer running off the same Amp that blew my kicker and for twice as long! I only have One 10 inch in the back of my 06 Mustang GT and it sounds better then a pair of most of the well known name brands out there! You can't go wrong with Skar!! I will be getting another 2 Skar 8 inch subs for my doors to go along with the JBL 6x8s. If your looking for affordability, quality and dependability then look no further!! ... show more
