I've owned a few Skagen watches and always like the quality and design. This watch does not have the level of quality I expected. It is flimsy and the size of the watch face is much too big for the band. I compared it to an older Skagen and the cheaper materials used this new one are obvious. I truly like the looks of this watch. However, on the first order (during Prime Days) the watch was received running. I had assumed it was a new purchase and had no idea how long the watch had been running and hence, how long the battery would last. I asked for a replacement that was NOT running when shipped. I received the watch a few days later and again, it was running. Are these watches new? Why are they running? How long before a new battery is required? Will the battery be covered under the 90 warranty? This item was purchased as a gift and the last thing I want if for the battery to die shortly after gifting. Most of my watches are smaller in diameter, and I wanted something a little more contemporary with a larger dial. Skagen watches are beautiful and minimalist. I took a chance and am very pleased. The crystal is completely flat and goes well with the mesh band. The catch takes a bit getting used to, but after figuring it out it's easy.
