This portable, affordable and adorable crafting system designed for detailed (plastic backed or wafer-thin) dies and embossing folders up to 2.5 inches wide, including Sizzix 12 inch Decorative Strip dies. The Sidekick will cut a single sheet of lightweight to cardstock paper. Aqua cutting pads and embossing pad makes all Sizzix thin dies and embossing folders up to 2.5 inches compatible and works with other brands' dies.This small roller machine weighs 2 pounds, stands 4.75 inches tall and features a three-year limited warranty. This package contains one Sidekick machine, six Framelits dies, two Thinlits dies, two small Textured Impressions embossing folders and seven stamps. WARNING: Choking Hazard, small parts. Imported.

Although the box was destroyed to the point we thought whatever was inside would also be destroyed - the machine with the two cut plates and one embossing plate were entact … but it was missing the die cuts and whatever the starter kit had..: but again for the price it was worth it. This machine is perfect for running through small sets of metal letters and other small die cuts. One negative is the suction doesn’t grip on my white craft table which is I believe made from plastic type material .

This little sidekick does everything I expected it to do with my small cutting dies .So very convenient .Easy to use and very light weight. I can keep it on my small card making desk due to its size .I have some pain in my hands and a hard time turning the handle on my regular cuttlebug . The sizzix sidekick handle is very easily turned . In the short time I’ve had it , I’ve used different , but not all of my die cut brands . So far so good . I agree with some other customers , that it would be nice to have longer cutting pads . The embossing folders that come with the little sizzix work nice and crisp with my card stock. When I make a card , I used to dread dragging out my big die cut machine . This little sidekick I can use quickly and easily with hardly any effort . Solid, good weight to it, on testing does emboss & cut through paper with a die. It also cut through the lower plastic panel that you use to hold things together. & imprinted on the other one. I assume that is not supposed to happen. Else you'd be going through those sheets very, very quickly.

Positives:I already have a Big Shot and Vagabond, and was unsure if I would find this useful but price was so great I decided to buy one. Boy was I glad I did. I can cut small dies or emboss them easily while sitting at coffee table or work surface; and I can take it with me on trips. Just so easy to use. I have not had a suction problem; but surfaces I use are smooth. Comes with some dies, cutting plates, and embossing folders - perfect to get started. Con: Cutting width is small so make sure dies you use will fit through opening; however it is not much of a con as many dies will fit. If you buy the longer cutting plate you can run many dies (esp. sentiments) through at one time. I already bought extra cutting plates and certainly would purchase again! ... show more
