FEATURES OF SISTEMA KLIP-IT CONTAINERS >> Absolute seal--achieved by "O-rings" >> Easy to open/close. You do not have to press the containers closed nor pry them open. Just place lid on top and "latch" closed, or unlatch and lift the lid off. >> The sides of most are nearly vertical, not inclined. So, you can't stack the bottoms inside one another. But that also means that there is no wasted space. >> For all practical purposes, you must store them with the lids on. But that also means you don't have to hunt for the lids. Containers of the same size stack well on top of one-another, and those with the same size top stack well. >> The top adds another 3/8" or so of usable space, so you can fill the containers "to the brim". CAUTION >> While the Sistema containers are nominally "dishwasher safe", any plastic can be damaged by the heating coils in your dishwasher. I learned this because my current Bosch dishwasher doesn't have a "drying" cycle, the metal pots and ceramics dishes dry from the heat they absorb from the washwater. The plastic doesn't dry at all---but it also remains undamaged, compared to my Frigidaire dishwasher which regularly damaged my plastic storage containers. Several other reviewers report that dishwashing the Sistema lids causes them to distort, and for the blue lock clips to become brittle and break. So, if you want your Sistema containers to last, either hand-wash them, or turn off the "dry" cycle of your dishwasher (or choose a cycle which "air dries"). You'll also save a lot of electricity ($$$). >> While the Sistema containers are nominally "microwave safe", any plastic can be damaged by overheating---especially the tops which can warp. While you can CAREFULLY warm up cold food in a Sistema container in a microwave: ALWAYS take the top off first. DO NOT attempt to cook anything in a Sistema container. >> While the Sistema containers are nominally "freezer safe", they are very brittle when "freezer cold". Do not drop them, and allow them to warm up a little before you try to open them.     • Great container, really keeps contents fresh

This container was actually a little bigger than I expected, and seems to be a better fit for cookies than the one I purchased that said it was a "cookie" container. Either way, I am using both of them for dog treats, as the bags and boxes don't keep them fresh. These snap closed very tightly, and keep everything in them fresh. I can tell easily, as one of the treats my dogs love have apples in them, and as soon as I open the container, I get the fresh scent of apples. Before I purchased this container and just used the resealable bag the treats came in, after a week or so, I no longer smelled the apple scent when I would open the bag. It may be going a bit far for " just a couple of dogs"' but my babies are part of my family, and treats aren't cheap, so it makes sense to keep them fresh for as long qs possible. I would recommend this item for whatever you are plannig to keep fresh. These containers are well worth the money. ... show more

Container is nice, I primarily bought this to store Costco Muffins in. The Container doesn't fit 6 Costco sized muffins. It will comfortably hold 4 muffins, you can fit a 5th one by cutting it in half and placing the each half in line with the other muffins. Meaning you have 2 rows of 4 and a half Costco sized muffins in the container. All and all, this is a very good container, just depends what you want to store. ... show more

    • Better Tupperdor Than Sistema 236
When those who were disappointed by purchasing the Sistema 236 thinking as everyone stated that the 236 model can indeed fit two cedar trays then finding out the 236 model CANNOT!!! I bought this model to store 35-45 cigars without any trays. This is more suitable for those luxurious & expensive brands that you might want to store separately from the others. It also makes sure that if you did buy the bigger Sistema 236 model but didn't buy any cedar trays then you might worry about all that weight of each cigar stacking on top of each other without the support of a cedar tray. I personally worried when I bought the 236 model & couldn't fit two trays that all that space needs to be utilized or else the cigars slide around & get scattered. The bigger 236 model can fit 75-100 cigars without the trays but is all the weight of the cigars going to crack & smash the wrappers without the relief the trays would've provided? This smaller model is able to store your cigars without adding too much weight on top of each other. I highly recommend this unit. ... show more

Perfect for storing cookies on the counter. When the lid is clipped shut it is airtight and the clips seem to be childproof for my grandsons who are five. I can also leave the lid on but not clipped shut; the cookies stay soft and fresh but my husband can grab one on the way through the kitchen. Good size, very high quality. ... show more
