I combed Amazon's listing for Sistema, and this one looked like their old system. It's not. I received their new system where the clips are on the lid, not the base. These do not work as well, I'm sad, I liked the old system and the fun colors. The new clips are so hard to snap closed, it hurts my hands and the kids can't use them. The silicon ring inside looks more leakproof and it wont come out in the dishwasher like the old ones did but this is not enough for me to purchase again. I've been buying Sistema here on Amazon for 5 years (kids inevitably loose them) . The new base stacks better than the hold base (new on new) but they do not play nice with the old bottom snap pieces because they don't stack or fit as nicely with each other or in square'ish lunch boxes. Sistema has lost a loyal customer and fan. In the pictures the green base and clear lid are the old design. ... show more

Great container. We use these for fruit in my son’s lunchbox. Super easy for him to open and close, and they keep the juice/mess contained. With twist off lids, he either couldn’t open it, or he wouldn’t twist the lid back on tight enough and it would leak into his lunchbox. I first came across the Sistema brand locally and love how easy to use the are while offering tight seal. I can no longer find the 2L size locally. A plus in my book is they are made in New Zealand and not China. So far I haven't found any comparable made in the United States containers.
