The Sirui VH-10X Fluid Video Head adds a new dimension to SIRUI's Video Head Lineup with the addition of a four-position panning feature including a free rotating zero setting. The perfect head for the videographer on the go with a load capacity of 6 kg/13. 2 lbs. and weighing only 1. 2 kg / 2. 6 lbs. Constructed of high quality aircraft grade aluminum, this head will meet and exceed the high standards of today's videographers. Smooth Fluid movement combined with an advanced balancing system - 360 degrees horizontally and +90 degrees / - 70 degrees vertically. Four-position panning drag including a free rotating zero setting. Precision-machined lightweight aircraft grade aluminum construction. Telescoping handle can be easily positioned on the right or left side of the head. SIRUI's patented safety lock system insures your camera will not slide off the head while adjusting the position of the plate.     • Excellent functionality, but REALLY heavy
The panning and tilting control is excellent and the size is compact, however, the weight is no joke. The craftsmanship is excellent and the telescopic arm is great for packing away. Ultimately, I was looking for a fluid head I can travel with, so the weight ruled out this one for me.

    • A very nice, functional unit.
I find the fit and finish of the head to be at a consistently high standard and the head performs well. I am using with a Panasonic G85 and kit lens. A very basic setup admittedly. Basic or not the head makes it easy to guide the camera smoothly, has good adaptability and I will eventually buy another (unless a better version is released at a similar price point). I had only one issue with the head and it wasn't precisely with the head but the case for it. The nylon spiral zipper that was used had several kinks in it that would cause the slider to catch and I was concerned that the zipper would fail. This type of zip is prone to failure more so than some other constructions. As you know, once they fail, If you can restore normal operation, the zipper will often separate more and more easily at the same spot. The simple solution would have been to return as defective and re-order. But I needed the head and returning risked out of stock and other issues that I didn't need to be vulnerable to. So I decided to contact the US office of Siuri and see if I could arrange to replace just the case. The process could have been smoother and involved delays and extra time for me which I didn't care for but I did eventually receive a replacement case and it is fine. The only points of improvement would be: I would like to see a sturdier zipper used on the case. A smoother process for warranty fulfillment. Over all I am very pleased with the tripod (purchased separately) and head. I do wish there was some kind of option for a different case. This is not an easy one to solve but my issue here is that I have a beautiful Siuri tripod and head and no way to keep them protected while assembled together but knocked down. Having to deal with two cases and assembly of the head to tripod are setup steps I would like to avoid and the only way to do that is to find and use a case that will fit both. Yet more cost and waste for the excess cases not good value. One other gripe I have is the cost of the Sirui leveler. WAY too expensive when compared to other options. ... show more

    • Solid build performance so-so.
Looks and feels well built but the tilt adjustment is not great. Panning is nice and the 4 stops of resistance are good. Problem is it gets stuck and you must swivel the head around to unlock. Prolly wouldn’t recommend this head to serious shooters.
