  • Great performance for size and price
Size: Carbon Fiber 5C
The specs and on-line reviews were all very good but, when I received it, the tripod was even better than I expected. It's very light, fits inside my smaller backpack and is sturdy enough not only for my Sony Rx100M7 but also for my M43 gear. Hard to believe it at its price point. Get it.

  • Good lightweight tripod
Size: Carbon Fiber 7C
Currently using as a 2nd tripod that I keep at my parents when I visit. Good size to travel on public transportation to photo locations. Easy to unfold and extend legs. Haven’t used the monopod feature yet, but will eventually. Comes with a nice bag, but I usually just carry it in my hand. Light weight makes it shake in the wind, but it has a weight hook to hang your bag on for more stability. Seems relatively easy to clean. Overall a very good tripod. ... show more

  • Perfect travel tripod.
Size: Carbon Fiber 5C
I've never been able to bring my past tripods onto an airplane as a carry-on but this one packs up so small and is surprising light that no-one even notices it velcroed to the side of my bag. It is VERY convenient and well made, sturdy enough for long exposures and easy enough to just grab and go, I've even had it clipped onto my belt loop while walking around without issue. I don't think it's sturdy enough for a video drag head pan but wouldn't be surprised especially when you have some weight hooked to its strong carabiner. It could also be a little higher but that would make it pack up longer and possibly heavier too. For what it is (a secondary tripod for travel or quick casual use) it is perfect. ... show more

  • Wow... This works better than expected....
Size: Carbon Fiber 5C
Purchased this tripod for my Labradar.... I was using an Amazon basic tripod and it served it's purpose well but after 2 years I started noticing shortfalls. 1) This tripod is compact! - I don't use the center pole so I cannot keep it at the ultimate shortest length when stored.. it's easily 6 inches shorter than my Amazon one tho. 2) This tripod can get LOW. - this is a huge plus as I've been doing more prone work and needed a stable platform. This tripod is the ticket 3). Stability again.... - I love how stable this tripod is. Lighter yet heartier if that makes sense. ... show more

  • Some Issues on what could be a great tripod
Size: Carbon Fiber 7C
I reviewed a number of medium priced tripos on the internet for 5 months (I was not in a big hurry to buy and not know what I was getting into). I found the Specs on the SIRUI 7C Carbon Fiber Tripod to be very close to what I wanted. It received on the date as shown on the Amazon site, and it arrived in decent condition (the box was slightly beat up, but not enough to show internal damage. This is a slightly complicated device, and trying to convert it from Tripod to Monopod and back again is a real task and you better have that bag of accessories and wrenches handy, because you are going to need them. It is not as steady as I would have thought and the head and ball assembly is not quite what you may expect. Also when mine arrived the Hand Screw that adjusted the panning was so tightly locked in, that I had to use pliers to release it enough the use it. It is NOT the worst tripod I have ever purchased, and if I were in a pinch, I could make this work. But, If I had a "do-over", I might have made a different decision. It is as advertised, and it sold for the price listed, and if you have the time to make the conversion work as you need it to, then it will work for a lot of folks. Just keep your expectations in line. ... show more

  • Great travel tripod
Size: Carbon Fiber 5C
This is my second Sirui tripod. I bought this one after loosing the first. If I lose this one I am buying it again! - The Arca plate works with other standard accessories, like phone holders. this one mounts directly to the ball head without the plate: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TGQDZPV/ - Lightweight, easy to pack wherever you go. We carry this in our car when traveling and often take it on short hikes. - Relatively easy to pop up and down. I have learned to twist all the knobs at once when collapsed and quickly twist the others when extended. It is not the fastest tripod to fold up, but is not bad at all. - Enough range for common tasks. I carry it for a family selfie tripod. A great balance between folded size and extended height. - Twist locks never go out of adjustment, even though they may take a split second longer. - Nice little ball head for lighter loads - Has the video movement just below the ball to allow fluid 360 degree panning. - Probably strong enough for light SLR setups. I would not put a really heavy camera or huge lens on it. Works fine for most consumer grade setups. - Comes with a very usable bag and strap. - The only negative is sometimes the head comes loose. A quick twist fixes it. Overall this is a great value for the quality you are getting. I believe this is the sweet spot for travel tripods. I own cheaper options that are poorly built, and there are far more expensive options, but this is lightweight yet well built tripod at a reasonable cost. ... show more

  • 24-70gm too heavy
Size: Carbon Fiber 5C
Tripod is great, I enjoy it a lot. However night photography is very difficult if you have a lens like the 24-70gm i, the camera slowly starts to move which makes your photos blurry. But with any other lens it’s 5/5.

  • Awesome tripod
Size: Carbon Fiber 7C
Bought this to be my go to tripod and also take it traveling. Construction is high quality, the ball head is very well made, the additional security of the button release plate is nice. The ball socket appears to be delrin and the lock bolt does not tighten directly onto the ball as some of the cheaper tripods do (which mars the ball on those cheaper tripods inhibiting smoothness). The twist-locks are awesome and do not require any more torque than is fast and comfortable. The legs are channeled to not rotate within each other for easy lock/unlock of the twist-locks. I went with this one over the 5C because it has a reverie column and the steel feet. Both the steel and rubber feet are extremely well made. The steel feet are well machined and finished stainless steel and they lock nicely with a hole to insert a tool in for tightening. The rubber feet include an o-ring to tighten them against and are very securely mounted. The rubber used is not a very hard rubber and does not slide on smooth surfaces. ... show more
