This thing has some weight to it, which I like. Seems well built and pretty rugged. I’m putting it on my flatbed trailer, and for the money, I think it’s a solid buy. The little magnetic remote is a nice touch, and if you plug it in, it works like a handheld wired remote.

It is well built and came with everything I needed. Used it to pull a wrecked chevy Silverado 2500 out it worked like a charm. It pulled hard, ran smooth, got the job done without headache. I also like the power switch on the control box, and the light should come in handy at night. Solid buy for the money.

After installing and running the SINOKING PRO 13500 Synthetic Rope Winch, I can honestly say this thing punches way above its price class. Real Truck Performance (Not Spec Sheet Fantasy) The 13,500-lb rating is exactly where serious half-ton and ¾-ton truck owners want to be. On paper numbers don’t matter — motor torque, gear reduction, and heat management do — and this winch delivers where it counts. I’ve used it for: Recovering a buried pickup in wet clay Pulling a loaded trailer uphill onto gravel Controlled tree positioning during clearing work The motor doesn’t stall or sound strained. Line speed stays consistent under load, which tells me the planetary gear system is properly matched to the motor output, not just inflated marketing specs. This is working-man equipment. Over all it does what a winch should do. It comes with everything needed to mount it to a vehicle but the plate. In my case I mounted it to winch plate that fits into a 2" receiver. The bolt holes in the plate matched up perfectly to the winch. The power and ground wires aren't too long so either it needs to be mounted near the vehicle battery or you'll need to get longer wires. The directions are sparce. It doesn't say anything about the battery in the remote other than there's one in it. It's a 12v 23A that isn't too hard to find. The cover is held on with a single screw so it shouldn't fall off while in use. The remoted doesn't look waterproof. It really should be as there's a good chance that it could be wet where you're stuck so your had could be wet or muddy. Also you could drop it. It does work wired or wirelessly so if the battery is dead you can still use the winch. The winch itself is pretty standard. Lots of good second name brand winches on the market. This winch doesn't really stand out as above them. The power wires exit the relay block (mounted to the top of the winch) out the back and right towards the cable drum. Since it's synthetic rope if they rub it shouldn't be an issue but if you ever replace it with wire rope there's the possibility that you could wear through the jacket on the wire. Since these wires carry a lot of current the result wouldn't be good. Other brans have the wires exit higher and straight out the back or out the side. The clutch lever is very stiff. I suspect it will loosen up over time. If you use the remote wirelessly there's caps that go over the connectors for the remote's cable to keep mud out. The winch has an LED light for the drum right above the fairlead. The fairlead, as can be seen in the pictures is just cast aluminum with a smooth rounded opening for the synthetic rope. It also matched up perfectly to the winch plate I had. There's a simple rocker switch to turn the winch on. Nothing will happen unless it's on. You can tell when it's on because the LED will light up the drum. To use it wirelessly you have turn the winch on and then press the power button on the remote to pair it. There's no way to operate the winch other than the remote. So if you lose it or damage it you will need to repair or replace it. The remote is on the small side. It's not small like a key fob but not too large either. It will easily fit into most pockets but I wouldn't mind if it was larger. Since wired is an option I would expect that almost any wired remote could be adapted to work with the winch. One of the issues I have is in the manual. It says you can drain the motor if water gets inside it. Simply removing a plug on the bottom of the motor will allow it to drain. I'm not sure if they are talking about the motor or clutch but neither should ever get water in it. The video said it's rated at IP67. That's waterproof at a depth of about 18 inches for a half hour. I could see someone into serious off roading getting stuck in a water crossing deeper and longer than that. But for the average user it should be good. Over all it looks like a good winch. I was easily able to drag my full sized truck in park across the yard. It didn't sound like it was struggling (which being rated at 13,500 it shouldn't struggle). I'll update this review if over time something comes up.

This winch is strong and made well but it is not IP67 waterproof as stated. This is not a huge problem, we can fix that. There is an inexcusable deal breaker - the combination wireless/wired remote control. The pro version of the 13500 comes with a fancy dual use wired and wireless remote control. You must have a battery in it or it will not act as a wired mechanical switch. Yes, you read that correctly, the mechanical wired backup remote does not work without a battery. Who in their right mind would sell a product with a remote that will certainly not work when you need it most? The chances your remote will work when you need it to are slim. The battery will surely explode and leak within the year. Let's say the battery died and by some miracle battery acid did not destroy the board. You probably dont have that strange size and voltage LR23A 12v battery for the remote control. I cannot stop thinking about how stupid this remote control design is. It uses a hard to get 12v battery instead of a simple mechanical switch. I was going to give this 3 stars but this design discission makes this a useless tool. The chances of the winch not showing up at work are high, then getting it to work might be impossible without a fresh LR23A 12v battery. It is not waterproof as stated, but for the price I find this ok. I filled the gearbox with an entire tube of marine grease. Check out AXG6800 on pintables or search for SINOKING winch to print a tool to fill up the entire thing with grease without getting dirty. The wires are aluminum not copper, so you might want to replace those at some point. Buy the Sinoking 13500 instead of the pro. 13500 : Tube center frame mounts thinner motor cover mechanical switch wired remote 2x AA wireless remote 13500 Pro: webbed center frame thicker motor cover combination remote that requires a 12v LR23A battery for wired operation. At the end of the day the Pro version has a silly light on the winch, and you trade the simple mechanical remote and common battery wireless remote for a ridiculous combo unit. The center frame section is technically stronger, but makes little difference when bolted down. You also lose clearance with both the center web frame section and the larger motor cover. There is no reason to buy the Sinoking Pro 13500 over the regular 13500.

I ordered this SINOKING PRO 13,500 lb winch because I needed a strong, reliable recovery setup for my truck—something with real pulling power, a synthetic rope, and both wired and wireless control for flexibility on the trail.
