    • Raised Ridges make for Falling & Sliding Dishes

We bought this sink liner to protect our dishes and porcelain sink. We do not have a dishwasher, so we stack dishes in the sink for washing, usually rinsing them or filling them with water to soak before we actually wash them. If you stack a few soup bowls on top of few plates, then the ridges that are on one side of this mat will actually make it more likely that your dishes will slide or fall, especially if you have filled them for soaking. Ditto filling a water bottle in the sink on any part of this mat, between the built in slope of most sinks toward the drain and the raised feet on this mat, the bottle will fall over. We wound up cutting the ridges off of the mat to create more stability. I think the maker is trying to make this both a sink liner and dish drain board, but it really doesn't work well trying to do both. It does cut and clean easily, but I would have preferred a simple silicon mat with no extra ridges. ... show more

I really like these so far. Just the right size for the sink. Love having it slightly elevated with the feet. My favorite feature is being able to stack things (especially dinner plates) vertically so they drain and dry quickly. I have not put anything hot on it, so can't speak to heat resistance. It is fine if a silicone mat is what you’re looking for. I would have liked clearer instructions on how to cut it to accommodate the garbage disposal. I decided to return it, but if a soft silicone mat is what your looking for to protect your sink, this would do that.
