I ordered the Farmhouse Grey version, but they delivered Dark Chestnut Brown instead despite the box showing the correct choice. Description was fairly accurate with one exception. The desk, structurally, is made of solid wood - however the surface is a wooden frame covered with a textured wood veneer / laminate which makes writing on it difficult as it's not completely smooth. I was a little disappointed in the fact the top wasn't a solid slab of lumber but for the price, I can't say that I regret the purchase. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality you get for the value.

The desk looks good, it’s easy to assemble, the only thing I have to say is that the keyboard tray is not the same desk’s color. That’s a pity, it’s just a detail but for me that’s why the desk is not a 5 stars.

My saw horse desk arrived on time and well packaged. There is a ton of packing material which is both good, because it protects the desk, but bad because most of it is not recyclable. The desk took less than an hour to assemble and I appreciate the bag of spare parts and wrench which I promptly taped to the bottom of the desk. Whenever I assemble anything like this, I do so on a blanket to protect the surfaces. I'm especially glad I did so with this desk because it scratches easily. When I began setting up my computer, I slid a monitor to the side and the desktop surface marred. Subsequent usage of the desk has resulted in nicks and scratches from general light use. Not too worried as I am pretty good at refinishing, but the wood top and finish of this particular desk is very soft. Finally, if you are planning on using this as a computer desk, which I have, two monitors and a docking station with laptop will consume almost all of the realestate. All in all a good value, just don't expect it to be something that will hold up with years of usage.

The table is really nice for this price point. We bought two of these, hoping the quality would be worth it for my work from home office. Assembly was good, although the instructions left out an important point in attaching the legs to the bottom. My huge complaint, though, is that neither package contained all the right parts for assembly. Between the two, I got one table. One table included a part that was drilled incorrectly for assembly, the other was missing important brackets for mounting the legs to the top. I contacted the customer service people and was told I had to wait 10-12 weeks for parts. Wow! I got the whole table in a few days! Also, customer service asked me for details I had already provided, so it’s clear they have pre-made comments they send out without paying close attention to the problem ticket. I await resolution before final judgment, but so far, only half impressed and quite disappointed.

We bought two of these in dark chestnut brown . It's a very dark chestnut brown, I really like that. I was looking for something sturdy that looked nice for an incredibly inexpensive price tag. My husband also had to have solid wood. The desk is solid something but it does have a thin laminate over it which is why it scratches. I nicked one but was able to take a black marker, touch the nick and wipe it away and you would never know it was there. This is not a piece you are going to hand down through generations but it is sturdy, looks great and is easy to put together. Oh, and other people commented on the keyboard tray - I agree, it barely fits a standard keyboard and mouse. My chair doesn't adjust so I put the keyboard in the tray and the mouse on the desk. It works fine until I find an adjustable chair I like.

I first saw this item in a Home Depot catalog mailer. I was looking to replace a very large desk that consumed the small room it was in. This looked like it would fit my needs and I especially liked the fact it was very open. I checked several websites looking at prices and reviews. Overall reviews were very good and Amazon had the best price so the order was placed. When the item arrived the carton had some re-tape done on one of the corners and there was a tear in the side of the carton. I opened the carton that day and this thing was packed extremely well. No damage of any sort and the instructions make it easy to confirm all the parts. The parts are clearly marked as well as the hardware in individual plastic packs. They even give you a packet of extra parts. Putting the desk together is easy and the directions are very clear. Holes were drilled accurately and all went together smoothly. I use this as a computer desk and was concerned about wire clutter with the open back. I ended up using 3M Command plastic clips along the back and down the leg to trail the wires. No clutter. Some of the other reviews reference this being pine and a softer wood but I will use a desk pad if needed and not treat it as a workbench. Very pleased with the purchase. See photo.
