This media stand resulted in a clean, professional looking result for my new 85 inch LCD TV. Everyone loves it, and the price can’t be beat. A key feature of this item is that it is constructed of solid wood (soft pine or poplar is my guess), with no particle board. This makes it lighter, stronger, easier to repair, and simple to modify if needed (which I explain below). Although being made of solid wood makes it lighter than its particle board competitors, the shipping box is heavy as it’s a large piece of furniture. I opened the box on the ground floor and carried the pieces upstairs. It’s much better to make multiple trips safely than one trip to the doctor with an injury. The instructions were excellent, and all the parts clearly labeled. I am very handy, and it took me 90 minutes to assemble by myself. It's not simple, but with patience anyone can do it. If you are not handy, then bribe a handy friend or relative to do it for you. Handy people are helpful people, and like hugs ... and bribes. I made 2 enhancements to hide all the wires which resulted in a very clean, professional finish: 1. Drilled a hole through the back panel behind the upper right door so I could put wires through it and use that compartment as a home for a power strip and extra TV cables. Everyone needs a home. 2. Installed a 1”x3” strip of stained pine to the back edge which allows the top shelf to press up against the wall so you can’t see between the wall and the back of the stand. This completely hides all the wires that you spent time running behind the wall when you view the stand from side. I didn't want to see any wires! I posted pictures to give others ideas on how to optimize their results. Enjoy! ... show more

This tv stand looks nice but the build material is very cheap and it is not sturdy. The pieces do not align and after assembly the stand is wobbly and full of flaws. Do not make the same mistake I made, do not buy this thing.

The packaging and the shipping box were undamaged. The damage inside must have happened during or before final packing. We didn't want to waste any time waiting for another unit and had the glue and tools to repair it so we went ahead. The lower front trim was broken apart from the base. It was still attached but separated with a crack line where it was glued. The finish was fine, so we cleaned and reglued the trim and blocks. We used crown staples to make it more secure. Assembly was fairly smooth except not all the pre-drilled screw holes were deep enough. Some were more like dents so we ran a drill bit to a deeper depth. All holes were in perfect alignment and the rest went good. Overall it is a nice sturdy piece of furniture that sits solid on it's six legs and does not wiggle. This is a real solid wood TV table. The finished product is spectacular. The assembly instructions should be modified little bit to install the door knobs, hinges and magnet at the beginning before everything is put together. It took more than 3 hours to assemble the table. If you already have experience on assembling furnitures then I highly recommend to install the door knobs, hinges and magnets at the beginning otherwise follow the instructions. Shipping: Shipping damage could happen for any product. But looks like the seller has customer support. Product design and built is good. So it is worth to give it a try. I also received a product with small dent but it is not visible. So check your table once it is delivered. I have been searching real solid wood. I found similar table more than double the price in other stores. So thanks to Amazon and the seller. This is my second product. I can see in reviews some of them received damaged tables but I think it might be shipping issue. So give it a try if you are looking for a solid wood table. But keep it in mind about shipping damage. But your order is covered by Amazon and the seller. Hope it is helpful for someone. ... show more

This TV console has everything I was looking for in a TV console. The packaging was sufficient to properly protect the pieces from damage. But there was damage to the bottom shelf, the front facing was cracked on the left side where it butts against the shelf. My initial reaction was to return the product, but after some thought, I realized that this was not a structural problem nor would it be a cosmetic problem as it would not be visible with the door closed so I decided to keep it. I believe this could have been prevented if glue had been usd on the connecting pegs and contact area. While attaching the top to the console, I found that the the trim attached to the lower side was also not glued to the pegs. Generally the console was fairly easy and straight forward to assemble, except for attaching the four doors to the unit. Buyers should take the placement of the doors according to the manufacturer's marks showing where to attach the hinges with skeptism as those marks will not properly align the doors on the finished console. I would have rated this at 2-stars based on the cracked piece, the lack of using glue where needed, and the difficulty of installing the doors, and at 4-stars or 5-stars if these problems did not exist as I am somewhat impressed with the quality of the materials used in the product and the finished look. ... show more
