I love the looks of this console. It is the perfect size and fits right under my 75 inch TV. That being said it is not as good a quality I would have liked to see. The finish scratches right off.     • Nice piece but SO hard to assemble

I really like this piece and it's well made but definitely NOT easy to assemble. First the good things about it: 1) It's solid wood and pretty well made 2) It's a really nice color and they had a bunch of colors to select from 3) It came super quick. Like three days to Hawaii 4) It was delivered right to my door so I didn't have to move it up the stairs myself 5) It is exactly as described 6) They include a lot of extra screws and they are well labeled, which was critical as I stripped some of the screws and lost some in the carpet 7) The instructions are clear and easy to follow with words and pictures 8) The hardware is very nice and well made 9) This is a well designed piece and it looks really good when it's done. The stain is even and all the parts match well Now the bad things about it: 1) There are so many screws to put in. You need a good Phillips head screw driver. You actually need an electric screw driver/drill to put this together without straining you wrist 2) Some of the predrilled holes were so shallow that it was hard to get the screws to go into the wood. I had to get out my drill and re drill some of the holes 2) Some of the predrilled holes were missing all together so you will definitely need an electric drill to put this together if yours is missing some holes 3) This piece is HEAVY! You will need two people to lift it upright off the floor at some point 4) Some parts are impossible to put together by one person. You need more than two hands for some parts like screwing on the back pieces and attaching the doors to the main part 5) There are some scratches and dings on the piece I got. They are pretty small so I can touch them up 6) Since part of this cabinet is assembled while the cabinet is laying down on it's side and then the last part has to be assembled while it is standing up, you will need to be able to easily get up and down off the floor repeatedly. So if you have trouble doing this you will have trouble getting this put together. It took us many hours over several days for it to be assembled 7) This thing is so heavy it would be hard to put back in the box and send back. I had to open the package on the porch and bring in the pieces a few at a time. You will have to be strong to get this thing off the porch and into your house while it's still in the box. You're best to assemble it near where you will use it because it is super heavy to be moved, even by two people Even with the problems I had I would buy this again as the price was good and I can't get anything comparable where I live ... show more

The product is beautiful, but it did take a while to put it together. The directions were clearly stated, all the pieces and hardware were together, and none were missing. However, after assembling, we found that the surface was easily scratched and marked when placing the receiver and cable box. Also, one of the cabinets doesn't close. After measuring the doors, we found that one was slightly larger than the other, which was disappointing. We haven't reached out to the manufacturers yet but will update this rating after speaking with customer service. ... show more

This media center took 3 hours to assemble. My husband is a DIY'er who builds all kinds of things, but this had so many parts to it, it took a ridiculous amount of time. Save yourself the headache, buy a media center already put together!
