MOLD IN STRAW!! We loved these water bottles and their durability surviving the endeavors of 2 toddlers. However, after 5 weeks of use and consistent cleaning, the straw inside this bottle became un drinkable due to build up of mold. I DO NOT recommend this product! It is hazardous to drink from and will not come out when soaked or cleaned. Due to the limited return window I was unable to return these water bottles. Very disappointing!!

Our son has been using these for a few months now and they’re awesome. He drinks smoothies all the time so we didn’t want a mess with beets and berries, etc. and these have done the trick. Pretty indestructible. As a boy toddler, he is a destroyer, and these have stood up to him, doesn’t matter how often he slams it down. I will still give this five stars but I wish the straw couldn’t pull out. Quick lesson to teach him, but if the straw had a catch to keep him from removing it, this is absolutely perfect.

I bought 4 cups , one for each family member and dropped nearly $100 on these cups because I heard such great reviews and my kids kept breaking their plastic cups. We've had them for a few months and while I will admit I wasn't perfect at washing them everyday I did my best. It's only been a couple days since the last clean and I found mold in my daughter's lid and I could only tell because it's a pink lid. It's on the bottom of the threads of the lid where it screws into the cup to where I can't see. The gasket is not removable and the silicone parts are moveable but you can't take them out. Literally there is only enough room for moisture to get in and mold to grow, there's no room to really clean it to prevent that from happening. I'm returning these asap. $100 on cups I would think I should be able to clean them will enough that this isn't an issue but obviously it is. Do not recommend. On top of that these aren't even leak proof.

I ordered this “brand new” water bottle for my kids. One of the packages you could clearly tell it was brand new or never used. The other package I could already tell was defective because of the way it was wrapped inside the box (not like the first one). This bottle has scratches EVERYWHERE!!! The lid has water around the straw and brown residue. And I looked inside and there was water as well. This product looks like it’s been put through hell. On the bottom of the bottle is even worse with damage. I didn’t pay the full and brand new price for a very very used water bottle with residue around it. The other water bottle is actually perfect and I’m disappointed I didn’t get the same result with the other one. I won’t be buying from again!

I am shocked more people haven't mentioned the lids that pour water everywhere. These lids are the absolute worst! If the bottle undergoes any temperature change at all (like water warming up over time naturally by sitting in a room) when your child opens the spout it will pour water everywhere. It's worse on the plastic bottle ones than the metal, but it still happens regardless every single time. It's terrible. Every time my kids open these lids the top area fills with water and then water pours everywhere. Sometimes when you open it, it's like a whale spout and water literally sprays. Also, it's physically impossible to get these lids clean. We cleaned them daily with a tiny bottle brush and still found mold developing where you can't take the silicone off of the lid. We have always only used water in these, never juice or milk. We have over 20 of these cups in the metal and plastic and threw away every single one of these terrible lids! We bought the Hydroflask style lids and they work great! Never have a single issue! The threads are a little harder on the plastic version to thread right but are a perfect easy fit on these metal cups. The actual metal cup portion is great and their designs are so cute, but the lids are complete trash. We noticed the valve is a different design on the Simple Modern vs the Hydroflask and I'm fairly certain it's the valve design that is the issue. On a side note, we also bought the Paw Patrol cup, and my son (3.5) really wants to know why Zuma is missing?! He's part of the Paw Patrol, even more so than Everest, so where's Zuma?! Why isn't Zuma on any of the Paw Patrol designs?!

We love Simple Modern! Our family owns quite a few tumblers already. My kids use the heck out of them! They’ve been through some beat up situations, yet durability is great! Keeps their drinks nice and cold. I hand wash the tumbler, but put the lid and straw in the dishwasher without any issues. Just don’t let any liquids sit in it too long, or it will get moldy (I’m taking apple juice sitting outside in the sun for 3 days...boys). But that’s to be expected. I’ve had no issues easily washing away the mold thoroughly. Had to order the Marshall print for my 3 year old! He LOVES PawPatrol/Marshall and anything firetruck. He was super excited to get this tumbler. And my 1.5 year old lit up when he saw Mickey. The pattern/designs are super fun,cute, and vibrant! Also, had to add the great customer service. The little rubber vent on my son’s tumbler lid fell off which doesn’t allow proper suction. I emailed their customer service and they sent me a brand new lid for free! Made me an even more happy customer!
