Long story short: - Will hold ice for at least 12 hrs - Keeps drinks hot for an obscenely long time too (haven't tested how long but I do have to leave the lid off sometimes to let my drinks cool down) - Fits in your cup holder despite being 28oz - Actually waterproof?? I love these drink holders and tend to use mine primarily for hot drinks. They will stay warm for the majority of a day, far longer than my drink lasts. My daughter uses them for iced drinks and they also stay cool for long periods. The seal is so good that after pouring hot water into it to steep my tea I have to close it _very_ loosely because it will seal in such a way I cannot then get it open to add milk, even if the cap is flipped open. I have accidentally dropped the 28 oz. one a couple of times fully of hot liquid down my wooden garage stairs to hit the concrete and nothing spilled or dented. The only drawback is that it lists as dishwasher safe, and the one time I put the cap to the mug in the dishwasher it leaked so that when I pick it up and shake it, I can hear water in it. I no longer use that lid and cannot buy it separately. I had to buy a whole new mug in order to get another lid for the mug. 🙁 **The mug part is NOT dishwasher safe.** ... show more

I looooooove this tumbler. I have a much bigger Stanley that I love, too (yup, I succumbed to the hype) but this Simple Modern tumbler is my daily go-to. --It's the perfect size. It fits in my car's cupholder, and is also light enough to be pleasant to carry. --It's super easy to clean. (I hand-wash it, to preserve its prettiness, but you don't have to.) --I only have to fill it four times per day to get my recommended intake of water. --It keeps water pleasantly cold even in a hot car. --It's elegant. I received one of these as a gift from my son. I loved it so much I purchased two more. They keep my drinks really cold while I'm at work for the full nine hours I'm working. The ice is still there too! I've used other cups that keep my drink cold, but not ice cold as this one does. I also work around computers all day, so I need something that won't spill. This cup has been knocked over and the only liquid that has come out has been a few drops out of the top of the straw (not the base) and not enough to cause any damage. It comes with 2 lids and 2 straws. I use the lid with straw. There is a rubber barrier on the lid that you insert the straw through which is perfect for making it spill proof. The only time I've ever had liquid come out of the lid is when I have over filled it. I will mention that I love the matte finish tumblers better than the glossy one I have, but only because the lid seems to screw on easier. I got this as a gift for my sister and she used it HARD. It was left on the roof of her car when she drove off - survived with only a couple scratches. She used it for years before she was ready for an upgrade. Keeps water cold and leakproof without the straw!
