I love this phone! What a buy! I've suggested that my husband consider it, and will replace my son's phone with this one when his breaks or his battery wears out. He has used my phone at times, likes it, and is excited that he will get one too (he's using an iPhone 6 now). I had an iPhone for a few years after always having an android phone the years before. There were a few differences, but not much and this phone costs about the same as what I paid to fix the screen when I dropped it. I had the insurance plan with my old phone but found that I would have to send it away for a few days in order to be able to pay only the deductible, so I paid to fix the screen locally instead. Now, if my phone breaks, I'll buy a new one just like it; and I don't need to pay the insurance coverage fee. I love how this phone allows me to watch YouTube videos while doing other things. I can check the email, text, use the calculator or Ring system, etc. and still not get kicked off my video or podcast. It has a floating screen so I can move it out of the way depending on the where I need it on the screen. I didn't rate the fingerprint reader or face recognition because I don't use those. I don't believe this phone has a finger print reader and I choose not to use the face recognition option. I do miss the finger print reader, but this phone has a setting that can keep it from locking if you are in a certain location (such as at your home or work) or if you are carrying it, so that limits the need to put in an access code. That works well for me. I thought that for this cost, I might have to be careful about how many programs that I download, but I have many and have had no issues with running out of space. If battery life is important and you play games or watch videos a lot this may not be the phone for you. I don't think the battery life is great, but I charge it each night and have a plug in my vehicle too; so for me, I don't have any issues there either. I highly recommend. ... show more

I just wanted to inform everyone that cares, this phone DOES NOT support DOUBLE TAP TO WAKE. I tried finding out myself, even asked here and got misleading answers. Basically, it seems the US VERSION of this doesn't have it for some reason but the a20e, which is the non US version, does. And that's why the information may be misleading because people assume it's the same phone minus the fact one is US and the other isn't. Should be identical otherwise, right? Wrong! And I found out the annoying way and now am sending back 2 of these to Amazon along with a bunch of cases I ordered. Amazon probably thinking I'm abusing the return policy now when the truth is just that I was misled, even on this very page, that the phone has the features I needed. Otherwise it is a great phone. Super nice for a very low price. Just sucks it doesn't have that one feature which is a major deal breaker for my parents. I tried! ... show more

Overall for the money it's a decent phone. I liked the fact you could buy an otter box for it and I wanted a little bit smaller phone. I'd compare this phone to the size of an iPhone. The only things I found somewhat annoying was that when tapping the screen it wouldn't always type or was hard to press. The only other thing was the battery will mostly last the day if you're on it alot but not always. It charges super quick so that's a plus tho. I also need to turn it off quite frequently to keep it working up to par but that's understandable. For the money and not having to pay $1000 I will put up with these small issues. This is my first smartphone, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it has worked well for me so far. I got a Verizon-compatible SIM and migrated my flip phone's TracFone account to the A10e without a hitch. All my minutes came over and I kept my phone #. I love that the A10e prefers WiFi over cellular for data and I've even used the WiFi hotspot feature to connect my laptop to the Internet while out and about. Calls are clear and it hasn't dropped one yet. I added an Evocel case with a belt clip, and the A10e is lightweight enough that it's not much different from carrying my flip phone. No pro would ever use the cameras, but they're adequate for unexpected photo ops. The battery life has been fine for my purposes, but then I'm not a heavy user. So, no regrets on the hardware. I wish more apps could be moved to the SD card (I added 64GB), but that's not the A10e's fault. ... show more

Clearly there appear to be a difference between what this phone labels in its settings as Nearby Device Scanning and actual NFC (Near Field Communication). I searched up and down and did a Settings search for NFC and it is not available on this device. This is the primary reason I purchased it, but to be fair, I only found that some answers say it supported the feature and not in the advertisement and Amazon Product page Specs. It will not even load the Freestyle Libre App because it doesn't support this NFC technology. So if you're looking to pay with credit card new NFC or other NFC technology BE SURE to do your research first on this Samsung Device. Other than that, I can't give any other review because when this feature wasn't supported for my Freestyle Sensor it is being returned immediately. Just hope this clears some confusion on those who answered that this device has NFC. After a bit of research it appears this device (Nearby Device Scanning) uses a low frequency Bluetooth whereas the NFC uses a higher frequency in general. Thanks. ... show more
