  • Simply works
Color: Yellow
Nice, cheap, and practical. You can leave it on a sunny window sill to keep it topped off until you need it, and you can always hand crank it for 30 seconds to a minute and get many more minutes of lighting. Light output is modest, but in the dark it's enough to light your path or to look for items in front of you. ... show more

  • Small and lightweight
Color: Green
I got these yesterday for camping and my bug out bag. The crank makes more noise than I would like but unless I'm needing to be quite it's not a problem. Lights are nice and bright, easy to use, and a good camo color. Haven't tried the solar yet since it's been raining but says it can charge by any light source. I like that it an clip on the outside of a pack to charge by the sun but not 5 seconds after I handed my boyfriend his he broke the clip. It was and easy fix, the pin came out and had to figure out how to get the clip back on the spring but works fine now. Overall, I'm happy with them and think they will serve us well. Just don't forget to follow the directions and crank once a month the keep battery to max usability. Full charge by solar in 40 hours, cranking depends on how fast you crank but don't go past 15 minutes per instructions. Gives 2 hours of light. ... show more

  • the hand cranked flashlight is amazing
Color: Black
ok i'm being honest this hand cranked flashlight is AMAZING. it is definitely not worth 15 dollars. the cranking sound isn't that bad and even adults are able to crank the flashlight despite its size. it also has a pretty neat solar panel on the side too! its lumens are exceptionally good. It has around 70-100 lumens (i'm not sure) and can still have decent lumens even when there is not much battery in it. It also lasts a WHILE. I did an experiment on how long it could last and it lasted around 20 minutes. Yes, the lumens were kind of bad but if it was extremely dark it could still work to help you see. and the fact that you get TWO of these is crazy. These flashlights are the textbook definition of underrated. ... show more

  • Best hurricane flashlights on the market
Color: Yellow
I've lived on the Gulf Coast for several decades and we all know there are certain supplies and types of gear that one MUST have available every summer and fall. One of those is multiple flashlights, which can be expensive and which also require a supply of fresh batteries for those inevitable occasions when the power goes out for a week or two. I bought several of this model of solar-powered flashlight with a crank as back-up power about a dozen years ago and they've gotten regular and sometimes heavy use every year. They're light-weight & small (pocket-size) and have a clip for hooking to your belt (so you can carry an armload of stuff). I keep them on a window ledge behind the blinds in each room so that (1) they will always e fully changed when I need them, and (2) I know exactly where to find them in the dark. (No trying to remember which kitchen drawer the batteries are in, either.) The original ones are only just now beginning to get flaky -- which is a really long time for such inexpensive equipment of such a simple design. Hopefully, these four replacements will last just as long. ... show more

  • Fairly short battery life
Color: Light Green
Two flashlights, considerably smaller than I was anticipating, maybe 4in by 1and a half in. Battery working time 2 hrs. Chargeable with hand crank for 8 min lighting. Solar charging: 30 min will yield 10 min lighting. 40 hours lighting will charge the full battery. Our much-dreaded power outages did not in fact materialize. These were an after the fact investment. ... show more

  • Not bad for the Price
Color: Black
I recently purchased a 2-pack of solar charger small flashlights with a hand crank, and I couldn't be more pleased with their performance. Here's a detailed review highlighting the various aspects of these versatile little gadgets. Perfect Balance of Power These flashlights strike the perfect balance between power and functionality. They're not overly powerful, which is actually a plus for my needs, as they provide just the right amount of light without being blinding. Whether I'm using them for reading in the tent during a camping trip or navigating a dark attic, they offer sufficient illumination to get the job done. The light is steady and reliable, making them ideal for various scenarios. Dual Charging Options One of the best features of these flashlights is the dual charging options. The built-in solar panels are efficient and charge the batteries during the day, making them eco-friendly and convenient. Additionally, the hand crank is a lifesaver in emergencies or when the weather doesn't cooperate. Just a few minutes of cranking provides enough power to light up the area, ensuring you're never left in the dark. Compact and Portable Design These flashlights are compact and lightweight, making them incredibly easy to carry around. Whether I’m hiking, camping, or just keeping them in my car for emergencies, their small size makes them a perfect fit for any situation. The included wrist straps are a nice touch, ensuring they’re always within easy reach. Great Value for the Price At their price point, these flashlights are an excellent value. They may not be the most powerful lights on the market, but their reliability and versatility make them well worth the investment. The fact that you get two in a pack only adds to their appeal, providing a backup or an extra to share with family or friends. ... show more
