I bought these to wear with my tighter-fitting work slacks to give me some support for my lower tummy. They are high waisted so I can't wear them with some of my pants because they hang out the back. I don't know how they could be any lower in the rise and still support that area so I don't see this as a negative; just a statement of fact to consider when you're thinking about your wardrobe. I'm 5'6, 156 pounds, size 8. I've had 2 c-sections so I have that kind of roll and valley above my scar if I slack off on my ab workouts, which has been the case lately. So far they're holding up well and they definitely give me that added tummy control I was seeking in certain pants and skirts. The material is good quality. I would call them medium support and, for me, that's good. They do create a bit of a thong panty line horizontally across the upper part of my butt, but high enough that typically my top hides that well and it is not severe. I wear thongs to have no panty lines, but I also can't see how they could offer tummy control and not create that slight indentation across the back unless your glutes are really solid. Overall still definitely recommend. I prefer this to the full "boy short" style for the office. When I wear that long line style I get control and zero panty lines, but it's way more underwear than what I really want on an average day. I would say I wear a pair of these about twice a week. I originally used those shapers that only went up halfway to belly, and they always seemed to roll down because I have a login torso... I decided to buy these but I was very concerned about how I would use the restroom- I am a teacher and have limited time. I bought this and not only is it comfortable, breathable and slimming, but detaching and reattaching the bottom clasp is very easy and adjustable. These are so nice! The material is absolutely fabulous. My only issue was that they were too big!! But I've also lost weight so it's not really an issue, you know what I mean. I sent them back and ordered a size smaller and it was perfect!
