I purchased this for my cosmetology state test, it is not a good choice. One of the requirements is a brand new mannequin head, unprocessed, not taken out of the box. It comes in just a tied-up bag. They wouldn't accept it, for the test.

The media could not be loaded. This is a decent-quality mannequin head with a great sample of hair to use for coloring or styling. The hair has a mix of different colors, including grey, to provide more of a challenge with hair coloring than you'd see with flat-colored hair. It's wavy and kind of fluffy too, making it a bit of a challenge for either curling or straightening. It seems like it's hair collected of the floor of a barber shop the hair is spiky and cuts me. It came with many different accessories but they all seem cheaply made. It came cover in lint. And it seemed as if there were brown highlights. Light brown highlights. It also had a burnt smell that kinda smelled like eggs even after I shampoo. Although I'm not sure if it's synthetic or not it can take heat and behaves like human hair. It's hard for it to stay parted tho . Although I love it other than that . ... show more

I was looking for a more realistic head to practice on the head was very small, hair was sparse. This would be great for a kid to play with but if your looking to practice as a hair stylist invest in a high quality head this is not it.

Love this mannequin. It’s so nice practicing with real hair since my other mannequin’s hair is a mess. I’m not going to lie to you at first the hair stinks but after you wash it, the smell will be gone and will be easier to handle.
