Eagle 5 Gallon Type I Red Safety Gas Can for Gasoline with Flame Arrester, Self-Closing Lid, and F-15 Funnel, Made in the USA, Galvanized Steel Flammable Storage Can, UI50FS From the Manufacturer Eagle 5 Gallon Red Safety Gasoline Can meets OSHA and NFPA Code 30 requirements and are UL and ULC listed and are FM Factory Mutual approved for the safe handling and storage of gasoline and other flammable liquids. Eagle cans feature Lead Free Technology, constructed of 24-gauge hot dipped Galvanized steel, deep drawn one piece seamless body construction, non sparking brass integral pour spout, with a spring closing lid with neoprene gasket which vents at 3-5 psi internal pressure. The can features a fixed handle and patented comfort grip trigger release for easy dispensing, a double interlock no-weld bottom seam, 100% Leak tested, and a baked on red powder coat finish. Guys this is the gas can to have. So tired of spilling gas on ground, my hand and all over lawn mower with other "green" spouts that suck. Thos is simple old fashioned like my grandpa had for yeas simply pull lever with hand on nandle and cap opens the built in funnel in lawnmower tank and pour gas. You can see in funnel how full and you fill with no spills. I would give 50 stars for quality and ease of use. No one else is getting this from me, guys make the investment I guarantee you will be upset you waited so long to buy this. If you need to transport or store gasoline, this can is about as good as it gets and is worth every penny if you don’t want your vehicle to smell like gas fumes! I have this same tank from over twenty five years ago and I needed a second. They are identical except for their age. It’s a bit quirky to use sometimes, especailly when it comes to filling it while holding the strong spring loaded handle open for the gas nozzle, but when it’s closed, it’s closed. Great can.     • Just what I needed

I just received my new metal gas can. Open the box and it was perfect No dents or dings Some customer received theirs with dents that may be related to air transport higher altitudes causing a vacuum inside the can. I'd recommend to Eagle to prop the lip open so no vacuum can be created from pressure differential in altitude changes while shipping to different locations. This is the exact same gas can that my local auto parts store sells with their name brand on it for 92.00 dollars, funnel at an extra cost of 15.00. I bought this for 58.00 dollars with the funnel delivered to my door. I've used these at my work place for many years never had any problem with this product. Well worth the money spent. Don't want another plastic gas can. They are not ment for fuel storage the black plastic cap cracks from the pressure and the plastic gas can are not vented to release pressure so the plastic can swell up and the caps cracked. Felt very unsafe. Works well for transporting fuel but best to leave empty until you need to get fuel. I bought this metal can because we just had a hole island power outage I had no gas for my generator I was worried about our food storage. My generator will run for 8 hours on 1 gallon of fuel so 5 gallon would have been a big help. This metal gas can is vented for storage and is safe to use. I read alot of the comments giving low stars you know about the funnel and the spring tension to open the lid. First off is I'll never use the funnel on the can. I'll stick the funnel in the fuel filler on my car and then slowly put the gas in simple. The springs on the lid is so the vapors can vent if the pressure gets to high in the can far better then the plastic can that can crack and leak fuel. Not recommend for kids to use I may buy one more, 10 gallons should be more then enough for an emergency. You don't want to much gas stored at home but I would believe 10 gallons should be ok. ... show more
