OK, Now, other stuff: + Suction is amazing + Easy to throw in dishwasher + First meal on it had turmeric and there was no staining at all - Since the suction is on the "body" and not the "claws", my LO "flipped" up the claws so they flapped back on the tray, and yogurt catapulted and sprayed everywhere. it would be great if there was suction on the claws too, but in the meantime, we're just going to wait to put a lot of food in there until he learns not to do that. ... show more

My 16 month old loves to throw his plate if he doesn't like his food or if he is done eating. So I really have to find plates that have great suction power. I saw on previous reviews that this didn’t have the best suction but I wanted to try it out myself because it was so cute. Those reviews were correct, it has little to no suction power. My son immediately starts to play with it when I set it down because it looks like the crab. I am keeping it because it is cute and will work perfectly when he is a bit older and not throwing plates. It’s a good quality suction plate made of silicone. My kid keep throwing the regular plates and creates a mess so I ordered this one. It creates a vacuum and sticks to the high chair table. I wish it was a little bigger in size so that it can be used for longer duration and can accommodate larger amount of food. For now I love it and use it twice a day. My son is pretty strong and loves to throw his plates! The other suction ones from Walmart come off when he makes an attempt, but this one does not! So he doesn’t attempt to throw it down anymore and just eats from his plate! It’s great, well worth the money.

I was hoping this would be an inexpensive alternative to my other Suction Plates, however, the only surface I’ve found it to stick to is the kitchen sink (unintentionally).
