  • A game that remembers what made it terrifying in the first place
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Day One Edition
Silent Hill f feels like a series remembering what made it terrifying in the first place. Not jump scares. Not monsters alone. Dread. The kind that quietly settles into your chest and stays there long after you put the controller down. The shift to a Japanese setting gives the game a completely different atmosphere from earlier entries, and it works beautifully. The environments are haunting in a way that feels almost dreamlike at times, balancing beauty and decay so well that simply walking through the world becomes unsettling. There are moments where the game looks almost serene until you realize something feels deeply wrong beneath the surface. What impressed me most was how confident the pacing feels. The game is willing to slow down and let tension build naturally instead of constantly throwing noise and chaos at the player. Exploration feels meaningful, and the psychological horror elements land because the game trusts the player enough to sit in discomfort and uncertainty. On PlayStation 5, performance was smooth throughout my experience. The lighting, environmental detail, and sound design come together to create an atmosphere that feels incredibly immersive, especially with headphones. The audio deserves particular praise because it constantly makes you question whether what you heard was real or imagined. The story also deserves recognition for aiming higher than simple survival horror. Beneath the grotesque imagery and disturbing encounters is a narrative deeply rooted in grief, shame, isolation, and the fear of becoming trapped by expectations placed upon you. It feels personal in a way many horror games never quite achieve. Overall, Silent Hill f is one of the strongest horror experiences I’ve played in years. It understands that true horror is not just about fear, but about unease, memory, and the feeling that something inside the world is fundamentally broken. If you enjoy atmospheric horror that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll, this is absolutely worth experiencing. ... show more

  • Great game if you enjoy darker and thrilling environments
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Day One Edition
Loved the game was quite intriguing, specially the story line at first was a bit confusing but later got to piece all together better. The 1st no true ending everyone gets was definitely something I didn’t expect ,got me shocked (I played the normal history mode). Now I’m doing the second round to the game Silent hill Plus after I pass it first time , there is some things that are different on the story, some new places that I clicked on the area and you get to keep your blessings and omamoris. The game itself is not very scary compared to Silent hill 2 but the environment is a bit more nostalgic and traumatic the music and the characters are more darker in terms of emotionless and guilt tripping 🙈 I felt bad for Hinako every step of the journey. However I must say the game play of her attacks was my only complain I felt they where a bit slow the movements so I appreciate it when after the fox rituals she got a better form that I was able to play better with. Her weapons too the pipe is sometimes painful to use and the constant reparation of the weapons was a bit annoying too. Which is why I enjoy more the fox reality since there the weapons where not need to be constantly fixed. The game itself came on time well wrapped with codes to use and a mini poster! ... show more

  • A fresh new entry to one of my favorite horror series
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Day One Edition
Great soundtrack and audio design as always, very creepy and unique monster designs, exciting and frantic, and an interesting story. It's not a perfect game. Combat can feel clunky, but at this point it's almost a trademark of the game. Weapon durability didn't seem necessary beyond making it harder to survive unless you run from most encounters. Navigating the village can be tough as it's cramped, packed with monsters and lots of dead ends, plus the occasional surprise jump scare. Overall better than I expected. ... show more

  • Overlooked gem
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Day One Edition
This one caught me by surprise. Didn't expect to enjoy this one. It just seemed so far removed from SH at 1st glance. However if you give it a chance, you will find out that it's a solid horror game. I understand why it got some pushback now but I must admit it was a good experience. Even my most stubborn buddies stopped blasting the game after awhile and got invested into the crazy storyline. Great visuals, awesome art direction, sweet ost, neat story beats and solid combat. I look forward to the "we were wrong about SHF" videos later down the line. ... show more
